The big guy is symbolic of American wartime brutality, a mass murderer, and the Japanese protagonists represent Bushida nobility at its best in the face of calamity. In the end, Japan conquers the aggressor, at great sacrifice to Japan. Within 10 years, the big guy has transformed into a bumbling hero, a protector of Japan, although he makes a huge mess of it as he does so. Who the bad guys represent, well, that's another lesson for another day.

I wish the "Frigate March" should be the JSDF official anthem. Although used in a fictional world, it's still a world where a proud nation is still brave enough to fight and die against all odds. That song makes me feel as much pride for Japan, as the Star Spangled Banner makes me feel for my own home...and PRIDE is the fundamental foundation for any nation's people. The Japanese certainly deserve that pride. I just wish that my own country would let them have it, and stop treating them like post-war pets.

I really don't know why people hate shin godzilla! It can't be the music. It's too great! It can't be the story either. If the Japanese didn't made the godzilla we wouldn't see this! Can't we just stop fighting over godzilla and appreciate it?
There's two big reasons why a lot of people don't like shin 1. The humans. 2. They prefer monsterverse, because there is more action. Honestly i prefer shin goji bcuz he's cool and i like the story, musics and the SJHU colaboration thing (Sorry for bad english)
