Glad you liked it Paul! Carola is one of Swedens most known artists. She is a great singer both singing gospel and secular songs. Carola wrote this song herself. I have sung it in my choir many times.
I actually watched Carola’s mini concert back in 1983 in Stockholm when she performed Främling after the Eurovision Song Contest! Am glad she is still around after all these years, and she still sounds great!
This is one of the most beautiful songs, with the most amazing voice ever created. ♥️

Carola is, or used to be very religious and were married to a pastor of a christian church. She does have an incredible voice and has had since she was very young. Thank you for the awesome content! I love that you do a lot of Swedish singers.
This song was first released in Swedish on her Christmas album, my all time favourite Christmas song. For me the Swedish version even more beautiful. Very poetic and of course her native tongue. This however is amazing as well. Thanks for reacting to this!

Carola is very faithful in her belief and has always been., She moves from rock, pop schlager to gospel. This song can be interpreted as Virgin Mary wondering over her new born child- are you one of many children around the world, or are you the one the claim that is here to save earth...

Yes, Carola is definitely a devoted Christian. However, I think she wrote this song to and about her own child. But I guess you could say that there are some influences from Mary.
Carola is kristen, thats way many of hers song is about gud and her belives of gud. ☺️
Her involvement in more fanatic religious groups make me a bit worried for her, but there is no denying she is a great singer and she is a wholesome person. I really apprechiate her for that. I think she is the best vocalist i Sweden and we have great musicians
This song could be interpreted as being about a child or Jesus but I think most people interpret it as being about a child and not Jesus so it could be religious but it could also not have nothing to do with religion depending on how you interpret it
