- On August 22, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in Warsaw before visiting Kyiv, expressed India’s readiness to assist in resolving conflicts in Ukraine and West Asia, emphasizing the importance of dialogue over battlefield solutions. Modi's remarks came during a joint press conference with Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk, who called the upcoming Kyiv visit "historic." The trip follows Modi's controversial July visit to Moscow. Modi and Tusk also discussed enhancing cooperation in defense and artificial intelligence.
