When I married in 2017 I ordered my Dress from Ali Express. Not because I was cheap - because they were the only ones selling black wedding dresses. Back in the day I had no idea what Ali Express was and when the dress arrived it was super beautiful. Now that I know what Ali Express is I am very aware of how horribly wrong all of this could have gone lol.

They even fitted it to the measurements I gave them and changed something about the collar that I requested. There's most likely a bunch of underpayed workers who made it which I felt quite sorry for.

Just a small info: if you want a simple wedding dress and you want it perfectly fitting it is often times cheaper to get one completely made for you by a dressmaker other than letting a bought one getting fitted for you

This video made me emotional cuz I got married 4 years ago and my wedding dress costed less than 50 dollars. But I worked on it and made it look like a million bucks! I also did my own hair and my own make up for the wedding day...the dress and look were inspired by the Princess Kate one and until this day I get compliments on how beautiful I was that day...people cannot believe that dress was so cheap. As Queen Naomi said wedding dresses do not need to expensive.

I bought my wedding dress used and paid 450 euros and it is the dress of my dreams! I highly recommend buying second-hand wedding items, since they're usually prewashed and people take really good care of their wedding dresses and accessories even the day of.

babe, these wedding dresses aren't snatched cause they're not form fitted... that's why alterations are so important! stretchy fabrics used in everyday clothing are far more forgiving, but gowns like this are usually made from stiffer woven fabrics to provide stability and shape. so the actual pieces making up the garment have to be adjusted to the person wearing it 💖
@@_sch_eme_ unless explicitly stated, most sellers won't tailor a garment to your specifics before sending it out, and even then it's not guaranteed to fit perfectly. in-person tailoring is basically a must for wedding dresses if you want them to fit like a glove.

There’s something so special about having all your loved ones from both sides together, and seeing them making friends with each other. It really makes the two families like one. (Obviously I think this depends on your own friends and family tho, ours happened to be very similar)

i feel like giving them her exact measurements would cancel out the need for alterations….? so then that would mean the right fabric just wasn’t used.
They're not snatched because expensive wedding dresses have boning and structure built in. Alterations mean nothing if you don't have a good base
