All this internet gentrification and the subsequent scrubbing if ones less than currently appealing past makes me think of how fake and desperate people can be for mass appeal. Tubers like Filthy Frank, Leafy and Emp are literally G's for keeping thier content up, trying to rekindle the vibe (Unfortunately, LeafyIsHere was banned) or just being steadfast in your personality/ideals like Emp has. Next couple of years are gonna be really, really interesting. People are getting fed up with most of the stuff going on: The death of edgy humor, the death of opinion, the death of looking down on such an uptight culture. Like a pendulum, it's going to swing the other way...and alot of people are gonna catch what they threw these past few years, willing or not.

A possible positive result I think memes will make in the near future, however, is that if and when Trump screws up severely (or big league), memes will spawn into existence with the intent to mock him, taking away his power and reducing him to nothing more than a joke.
