clean cut! dont even worry about how long it takes you bro hate when barbers feel the need to rush through a haircut rather than taking the time to perect every detail.. barbers like you are appreciated!
You positive people out there mean a lot and I'm very thankful for everyone who watches. I will try to have more videos out soon and thank you for sticking with me.
Ricardo do a miniature video on your vintage andis master. Details of the motor the housing of the clipper and model. You inspired me to know a the history of the clipper
hey, retired cosmo turned barber here in Calif. I never became that accomplished with fades, as i went from long hair to short hair styles. Your work is perfect, and your humble attitude is very very refreshing, so many artists and hair people have huge ego's
Your videos are perfect and well spoken!! This is exactly what i was looking for in order to up my barbering game a bit more..Thank you and keep doing what you are doing...
This gave me a good laugh today. I used to cut hair in a salon and spa, with a very relaxing atmosphere. Guys would always fall asleep all the time and it made me so nervous. This gave me flashbacks, but great to see how you were able to handle it.
any tips on blending the 1 guard into the 2 guard better. i have the purple andis magnetic guards ( single magnet) on an andis masters. i feel like my 1 guard open doesn't cut well. thank you in advance. great cuts by the way, im a fan lol.
This nigga is way to fresh at cutting when you can't cut by quality people in life! Thanks so much for this simple info to master and get better at cutting and looking better in Society and also saving money! Much respect brother!
Ricardo, Thanks again for such a great video! I cut hair over 50 hours a week, And still enjoy watching your work! New Barbers should be studying your videos......Thanks Bro
Awesome. You sound like a true barber. Always trying to get better no matter what. I wish I could cut more but I don't have time to. I wish I was in your shoes. Maybe one day. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Nice blend! Don't rush your client appreciated it and they do notice of you rush and get them out! Sometimes if I have a Client that's falling asleep during the line up, I'll put the head rest up and tilt recline the chair a little, so you can use the razor without the nodding.
I love watching your videos since u always explain your steps and not just have music in the backround haha but like what u said in the im tryna get faster at cutting too, it usually takes me like 45-50 minutes, but anyways much respect
Thanks for the video. You are helping me out with my practice over this summer to get ready for college & cut people's hair in my door room! Great tips & advice! Thanks Ricardo... Much respect
love the video dude !! I'm a barber I have always loved the Brooklyn blow out neck taper I been using it in va and getting mad love this gonna make me step it up !
You are awesome! I've been watching all these barber vids, and I gotta say, yours are the most helpful. He probably fell asleep cuz you're too gentle..lol.
Haha thanks for the comment man i appreciate it. I do have a light hand and im glad its not the other way around. In that case theres no sleeping lol. Glad to help bud.
Thank you for this. I have been cutting for years, but only family and friends....recently taking it seriously and began school yesterday. This was a huge help to me...keep up posted that was friggin awesome!!!!!
Hey Ricardo these techniques are awesome I have 4 boys and I’m learning to cut their hair thanks to you , so thank you 🙏🏼 for the wonderful videos please do more. 💕✌🏼
i agree with the camera vision of seeing things its important to alwaysd use your mirror as your third eye most importantly. you mirror always catches everything. i love this cut!!!
Do you use this same technique with regular tapers? Also, when you were cutting the back of his head with the number 2, what do you do to blend up with the rest of the hair? Pull away from the scalp?
Ricardo, I really enjoyed watching this video! You are a master barber...an expert at what you do, in my eyes. I am an aspiring cosmetologist, beginning school this month. However, barbering has always been my hidden passion. I mean, I'm almost second guessing this cosmetology thing because my heart is still steadfast on barbering. I'm so eager about it. It just feels right for me. The only thing is, we have way more cosmetology schools where I live than we do barber schools. Actually, I don't know of any barber school here in my city. So, this is really why I'm doing the cosmetology thing because that filed teaches an array of skills, including a little barbering. Anyway, I just wanted you to how I greatly appreciate your gift, quality, and professionalism. Your camera quality was on point too!
I'm just doing garage cuts on my boy that I'm so glad will let me use his head. and can i say this video is one of the most helpful I've seen. so keep up the good work bro and thank you!!
Ive been cutting my hair for so long.. Since last night im actually watching videos for the first time, and seeing how I actually know most of the techniques and that I have a few secrets because all of the improvising Ive done during the years.. lol People always suprised I cut my own hair.. but its nice watching videos its like therapy when the barber is doing what i want him to in my mind :D...
Ricardo The Barber Best Freakin Video Out On RUclips Explaining Step By Step How Your Doing It and what Sizes And All Good Video Man Very Good Work Too !😄
man cant believe I kept missin this one, very smooth cut, excellent narration, you should be producing and selling dvds man, send that child to college!!!
Thanks Benjamin I would like to make that kind of money but in the meantime I love spreading the knowledge to everyone and just to know someone learned from me is the best feeling.
I think your teaching is one of the best out there . and I watch a lot. your voice is like Bob Ross of barbers. lol. look you don't complicate it and say a bunch of shit most people wouldnt underatand. its very clear. you should be proud of yourself.
Hey guy! Thanks for the videos. I just graduated from Cosmetology School...working full-time in a salon now....I am doing men's cuts....love your tips...helps me allot. Going to watch the rest. Can you recommend a good clipper set? I have the Wahl standard set from school. Do you ever use cordless? I use a "peanut" as my small detailer.
Cordless not as much no. If you like wahl get a pair of 5 star seniors with a pair of detailers. If you like andis get masters or envy with the outliners. Best of luck with everything.
I really loved your video!! Your the first one that actually explain everything and I appreciate that!!! And also you r a great barber!!! I learned that!!! Keep it up boy!! ;)
NICE Fade my man!! Now I have to watch it again because I had it muted and didn't know you gave instructions. I'm starting Barber School next week so thanks!
Your videos are great man,salute!,...im not a barber but i do cut my own hair as well as my sons, but recently i've been cutting some friends and one of them had requested a low bald taper and to not touch the top and sides, he had like about an inch of hair. Was juss wonderin how is the best way i can aproach this cut without takin to much of but yet keep it blended,,sorry for the dumb question bro...thanks in advance.
Excellent tutorial video! I have been looking for videos just like these to practice and get better with my fades. Thanks for helping me improve my technique :-)
Blending at its best! I Recently started watching your video and I'm hooked, my question is as you said on the video you like blending from the top down besides raising the haircut is their any other issues by blending from bottom up? I just started cutting hair and tend to start off in the bottom up. Thanks and keep up the good work hope to see a Philly Fade video soon!
What's up bud not raising the blend is my main reason but with my andis clippers they make sound when you cut the hair off. If I blend down I can tell how much hair is coming off just by sound alone. That helped me learn how to fade when I first for started.
Probably one of the best fade tutorials I’ve seen. Could you tell us again what kind of Andis clippers the silver ones are? And do they still make that model?
Hey Ricardo do you cut your own hair?, just wondered cause it looks pretty good and i know cutting one's own hair is pretty hard, at least for me it is.
I love this video Barber man, good job... I wish my husband had been so informative with trying to teach me this technique 16yrs ago.. Now my Oldest cut better than me :( Lol... Its all good.
Thanks for putting up great videos,I'm learning how to cut hair and was wondering if the andis barber combo is a good set to start with,it's the clippers that look just like the envy and it also comes with the t outliner.im trying to perfect the blending in fades and blowouts.whats your opinion? Thanks and respect
hi ricardo i admire your work i was wondering whats the difference cutting on top with scissors and clippers and can you please do a video on how to cut with scissors thank you very much
Hola Johny, pido perdon a Ricardo por responder esta pregunta. La diferencia de cortar la parte superior con tijeras, es que, con las tijeras se modela mucho mejor el corte, dando mejor forma a la parte superior y dandole un aspecto mas natural.
Perfecto Ricardo, me encanta tu trabajo. No entiendo tu idioma, pero soy peluquero y con solo ver como trabajas me doy cuenta que sos un gran profesional. Me gusta desvanecer de arriba hacia abajo. Un abrazo
clean cut! dont even worry about how long it takes you bro hate when barbers feel the need to rush through a haircut rather than taking the time to perect every detail.. barbers like you are appreciated!

I have before and they work wonderful. I got rid of them since i dont cut too much hair. Only like 10-12 clients a week.
It's hard to find videos for them, I'd love to see some techniques if you can recommend any. Quality not quantity! ;p

That reverse blend was beautiful!!
I love watching your videos since u always explain your steps and not just have music in the backround haha but like what u said in the im tryna get faster at cutting too, it usually takes me like 45-50 minutes, but anyways much respect
