Not necessarily. The best players are often playing in a higher age group. There are lots of junior players, but not so many places in the Premier League clubs. Those clubs would be very happy if one academy player would break through per year.

It is clear that the white players in the team are only there due to a quota system and have taken their places from the minorities who actually deserve their place in the side. However, looking a the under 15 team it is clear that soon the time will come when Scottish female commentators will never again be able to utter the words that "all starting 11 players and the five substitutes that came on to the pitch were all white".
