Scotland will definitely need McTominay and McGinn getting close to Dykes because that's where we get our goals. 5-4-1, which is sort of like a 3-4-2-1, will be the standard formation as it has for a while now, but with Forrest and Doak in with a good chance of making the final squad then I suppose we could go 4-3-3 if we needed to because they can play wide, and others can probably play there and cut inside more rather than be wingers (Armstrong, Christie, Adams, McGinn), so we've got options if we are chasing games. Losing our two best right backs is a blow. Hopefully our defence holds up. We've quite a few there who are coming back from injury or haven't played much so there might even be others brought into the final 26. I thought he'd pick a few more in the provisional squad.
