@@RedefineFX Is there any way to make the splines grow for a while, and than make them follow the particle, keeping the same length? Btw, thanks for tutorials, you're amazing.
Hello and thanks for your tutorials on TyFlow , it realy helps . I am following this one and as soon as i pick the sphere as ''position object '' it grabs TyFlow cursor and the minute i change display as box it grabs ''the sphere and TyFlow's cursor . What am i doing wrong ? Thanks
hi Jesse another amazing tutorial, with what operator i can start fade away to invisible the trajectory of the spline, after a specific number of frames o time?
Great tutorial, good pace and clear instructions. Any ideas on how to get the splines renderable in Arnold though? TyFlow Mesh hasn't helped nor has changing geometry mode from Tube to Mesh in the Spline Mesher options. Edit: Just FYI, they render in scanline but not Arnold. Edit 2: Figured it out. Apply tySplineExtrude to the tySpline.
I'm trying to change the speed in the slow operator but even leaving it at 99% it's still fast, and it ends up leaving very crowded lines, I've spent hours trying to solve it and nothing :/@@RedefineFX
is there anyway to make these spline paths dynamic? We want our villain character to pick up a target object with ivy and throw him. Everything works only when both objects are stationary. How can I make paths bend around dynamic objects? Thank you
Yes you can apply that same Vray light material to the spline OR use the spawn operator to create a trail of particles and make those lights and so on...many ways to do something like that ;)
Loved this :) My second tutorial that I gone through and done in 3D Max, thanks to you. Wanted to ask: is there a way to use various materials for the Spline Mesher ? Like if I don’t want all of the spline path to be the same, is it possible to assign different materials for different paths ? And particles for that matter. Thank you :)
RedefineFX no, did not try that. If I will - how will the material distribute among all those spline meshes. How will it know what sub material to apply to every mesh ? Can it be controlled ? Thank you for your help :)
Dono about fumefx but im pretty sure rayfire is pretty useless by now? Unless you just want a broken logo or something for another app, atleast thats what i use it for
I think there’s a time and place for all of these great packages depending on the project. In this very moment, however, the combination of Phoenix & tyflow is very hard to beat because you can do SO MUCH with them.
FumeFX still have best solver, but its developer is "stubborn mule" and he did not catch trends and ideas and his software is nearly same as 10 years ago. he made just some improvements in last releases but it is late and Fume is nearly dead. PhoenixFD is great for quick setups and have more realistic vorticity, but i think it have ugliest solver I worked with, but still usable... lowres simulations are unusable without motion blur because they ar blocky looking(voxels)... FumeFX was usable sometimes even with lowres sims. Rayfire is still good for shuttering objects... still have more options than tyFlow or Thinking Particles for quick object shutter, but its physic is just key animation based and not that flexible as tyFlow can be.
I am subscribing after this video. 5 minutes for all that info? Most people would've mentioned their cat's urinary track infection at least twice by now and the whole video would be 45 minutes.
Always easy to follow along and no skipped steps! Thanks!
Dude, you are the MEN! thnks x 1000k for all your tutors !
Thanks, enjoy
Love it. Short and sweet and to the point.
I literally watched almost all videos today they are amazing...i wish theres more update tutorials for tyflow
Thanks a lot!
@@RedefineFX can you upload more on tyflow.?

Another great, quick tutorial. Thanks, Jesse.
Thanks!
Thank you for TyFlow tutorials. I love TyFlow tutorials. Please share more tutorial about TyFlow.
There's a lot more coming soon!
Guess all the fiber optic companies can now have super quick / awesome looking animations.
Simple and easy love it bro
Great stuff!

Bravo. Great video. Thumbs up.
Hi there, Your tutorials are amazing. Where can I see how to export these TysplineMesher to Poly? Thank you.
Amazing tutorial!
Thank you
please add more trick for other operators.. thanks Jessi
Good tutorial, thanks
hi Jesse another amazing tutorial, with what operator i can start fade away to invisible the trajectory of the spline, after a specific number of frames o time?
You can do that just inside the tyspline settings with max age and max length, no additional operator is needed

Thank you and I don’t know as I don’t use Arnold. Please ask in the tyflow forum.
@@RedefineFX I figured it out and added the fix to my original comment. Thanks for replying 👍
It also works to just set the tySplines object in the modifier stack to "Enable in Render"/Viewport. Like a regular Max spline object.
Man, what a great tutorial, congratulations! How can I make this animation slower? the retimer does not act on the spline path
Just add a slow operator

@CONNER23 I see. In that case I don’t know actually either
Awesome! I wonder if there any way to loop the animation of falling particles, or any other tyflow related stuff without using any other software?
Thank you so much!
Good and beautiful any program.

That's fantastic. Previously it was kind of c4d territory, it's great that you showed how to make it in max/tf. Like and sub
many thanks man:)
You're welcome!
Great tutorial!! Question....could the splines be replaced with light trails that fade? I've been having MAJOR difficulty with this.
yes this is covered in my tyflow basecamp course
How to orient the particles to STRICTLY follow the path/s like arrows would do. Only Particle Flow seems to be able to achieve this.
can you render motion blur with tymesh? because i can't..
Good tutorial. I've retimed the particles to move along the spline over 1000 frames, but how do I get the spline paths to do the same?
.
Tyspline has its own retimer
Great tut!, how would you animate those tysplines, sth like noise but animated, right now they just remain static thank you!
Too complex to describe in a comment but check out the tyflow Facebook group for tips
Is it possible to use lights as particles instead of geometry?
Yes you can apply that same Vray light material to the spline OR use the spawn operator to create a trail of particles and make those lights and so on...many ways to do something like that ;)
@@the_3rdKind Thank you. And definitely. Tons of possibilities!
@@RedefineFX No No, VrayLight Mat is not what I need. A set of instanced spotlights - that what I need.
Nice tutorial as always! I have a question: Instead of particles, How to make multiple objects fly following a path?
I'm not an expert at this by any means but maybe trying birth object instead would make it work

RedefineFX no worries :) I’ll look around and experiment. Will update here if I figure this out. Thanks :)
@@Iamvoxelbender If you ask in the tyflow facebook group or forum lots of people are there with answers ;)
do you have anything on particles inside other particles?
how to render effct and set lighting ill complete same as your tutorial but render video not look like yours
So, how do you stop a bunch ofparticles speed to a halt?
slow or stop operator or just delete the birth particles and the splines will remain alive
@@RedefineFX thanks!
I have a question, can I adjust the length of the spline, so that this spline disappears with time?
thanks.
Yes it’s under the tyspline settings
hi! how to color the spline with a gradient, based on velocity?
Custom properties operator look that up
Hello, it wil work at Corona Render, or only Vray?
Should work with corona and other renderers
what is the best ? tyflow and thinking particles ?
comparing them is a waste of your time.
HUDINI / Blender / C4D lol , Just pick one you love and use it.
Software is just tools.
Awesome Stuff..How can we control speed or key framing to increase number of frames?...is there anyone?
tyspline mesher has a Retimer
I have a question.

How can I apply gradient map or make this lines in 2 colors
material ID operator + multi sub object material + play with the UV mapping under tyspline settings
