  • Sharing one of my favorite best kept secrets at FatQuarterShop.com with an "unbagging" of these mystery fabric scrap bundles. We love ordering these bundles whenever we see them in stock and especially around the holidays. The surprise element is fun and they're great for scrappy quilts, small projects and charity quilting. We hope you enjoy this video!

Informative video, I have always wondered too. However the cute little smiling grim reaper was still my favorite part 😂.

I’ve tempted to order these scrap bags but I wasn’t sure if they’d be good but looking at what you got I’d say yes they are.

They really are! If there’s a fabric line you like and you know it just launched, buy the scrap bags then. I’ve had really great luck with getting scraps of my favorite designers that way!

I make scrap quilts, so I would just mix them in with all my other scraps. I think that would give my scrap quilts some "flash," without being TOO flashy. Of course, you could always use the "wrong" side of the fabric if you are worried about the metallics, but I think those are really lovely. And as usual, my favorite of all of those it the large-print floral. I have some great ideas for fabrics like that. I really enjoy your scrap fabric reveal videos. Opening scrap bags is so much fun!

We have 1lb bags of scraps here in Canada but they charge $49-$55 for them! 3 yards of fabric. You get a great deal

@@coffeecakequiltcompany I sure didn’t. I can choose my own fabrics for that price

Big squares can be quickly quilted as a piece of whole cloth quilting with some patchworked sections for a really quick quilt. All of these fabrics have a lot of potential.

The metallics would be good for bags - - not every bag has to be 20"x20" (think gift bags) - - or, even that boxed thing with the zipper.

ive used the Kona sheen which is kinda metallic and they worked pretty close to what a regular fabric would.

Just mostly stuff you may not like/want. Not worth it, especially from FQS

It’s definitely a gamble but sometimes the boxes pay off. ☺️ I do appreciate that FQS includes something for everyone.
