Ironically Gate 5 Seems easier to me than Gate 4, Gate 4 was a mechanics Vomit Entire fight = Meteor insert Puzzle/Stagger/Stagger/Meteor Puzzle again/Zerg the Boss
Best Guide so far out of the series. Gate 4 looks hell difficult with all the mechanics. This one on the other hand looks more doingable, if you know your role in the team.
While doing mech at x110, instead of doing counterattacks you can just ask your support to use ulti and their shields will be enough to survive through this. This is not an option for hard mode though, because there will be much more counterattacks => much more aoe damage. As another option you can use last NPC and this will also work for hard mode, if placed correctly
Idk about that, ignoring the counters will make the entire party silenced for a moment and for on iLevel parties every second of dps matters. Also, why "waste" an awakening just to avoid the damage when its easy enough just to do the mechanic?
Is there a specific pattern for the clones at the ball stagger mech before cubes? Sometimes they spawn so far on the side instead of center it seems like rng

It's how gates are designed. 2/4/6 are meant to be harder than their 1/3/5 counterparts.
to me G5 looks like the hardest gate because you can't carry bad players and biggest Jailge potential like vykas G1 somewhat
