When Barry came, he saw what he was doing and instead of advising him to not do this. He started fighting him and saying him bad stuff. Thawne got really sad and when he got back to his timeline, he saw that he was destined to become the reverse flash so he decides to become a villian and the opposite of everything Barry is and he wants to make Barry feel useless just like Barry made him feel.

That wasn’t revealed in the future until after Eddie killed himself. Which would mean thawne has no parents. He just exists in the new timeline due to a paradox, so nobody named him after a supervillain
