I'm not one to leave YT comments but I NEEDED to thank you!! I've been on this for weeks and kept getting error after error! The way you broke this down and explained every single step was awesome!! Again, Thank you so much for this great tutorial! You have a new subscriber 🙂
It's comments like these that keep me going. I'm glad you found this video helpful. Thank you for the kind words and for catching
I just really wanted to say thank you because your tutorial is really helpful and super easy to understand!!
Been watching tons of tutorials and i don't comment regularly but you made it very easy for a first timer to understand this!!!
I'm glad I could help and thank you so much for the kind words
Hi Lui, Thank you for the tutorial. Helped me a lot.
How do we cater for form that does not contain a file attachment as it might not be mandatory to attach it? My workflow fails at Apply to each if there is no file attached to the form.
Very informative. Just what I was looking for. It would be good to have a yes or no added to the attached file column (if added) so you can tell whether something has been uploaded.
Great tutorial! worked like a charm.
Glad you found this video helpful
Best tutorial ever!
Glad it helped!
Awesome tutorial! Not sure if it’s mentioned in your other video however it’s important to note that this won’t work if you are using a “Group Form” as was the case for me. After switching to a personal form, it worked no problem.
Thanks for sharing this limitation. I hadn't tested it out with a group form.
Very easy to understand. 😊
Glad you found it useful
Do you have a tutorial on how to create a folder in sharepoint with the attachements from the MS form?
Hi there, can you make a video teaching how to make from forms to booking to making event in shared calendar through power automate? Forms is used for multiple conditions, booking is used for time slot and event created from booking to shared calendar and its detail are from forms
Hi! There has been a change in Power Autmation for Office 365. When im trying to choose "Get response details" and pick "Response Id" it doesn't show up. The only option that appear is "List of response notification Response Id". If i continue with this option the flow will fail. What am I doing wrong?
If you can, set up the flow from scratch. I had the same issue when I used a templated flow. Apparently, "List of response notifications Response Id" is for old flows which may be how the templated flow was set up.
Unfortunately, I am not experiencing this issue but as the comment above wrote, you want to ensure you are starting from scratch and not a template.
@@LuiIacobellisI have this same issue yet the flow is built from scratch
At 8:48 in the video, you show that the dynamic content includes "Response ID". Mine says "List of response notifications". Why the difference? Why do I not have "Response ID"??
Are you using the new Microsoft Power Automate interface? If so, some of the connector actions operate slightly differently. I'd suggest reverting to the old interface and trying once more.
if the user does not add an attachment to the form the flow fails, what is the best way to fix this? thanks
There are multiple ways this can be done . One way would include updating the flow to incorporate condition or branch where there is an attachment.
how to get responder name and not email?
Add the 'Get response details action for your form to retrieve the submission details.
Use the 'Get user profile (V2) action from the office 365 Users connector.
In the 'User (UPN)' field of the 'Get user profile (V2)' action, insert the dynamic content for the responder's email that you get from the 'Get response details' action.
After the 'Get user profile (V2)' action, you can use the Display Name field, which will contain the name of the person corresponding to the email address of the responder
This method assumes that the form is set to record the responder's name and email, which is typically the case for forms shared within an organization.
Could you have just used a document library instead?
It's technically possible to accomplish something similar with a library. With a library however there would have to be a file attached to every response as libraries can't store data absent a file
