You are the best, this is just the video I was looking for. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge.
Appreciate that! You're welcome, I'm glad it was of use to you.
Your videos gave me the confidence to attempt a head gasket replacement on my own. Am at the 'put it all back together stage' - At exactly the beginning of the 2nd video. Thanks
Awesome to hear that! Good luck the rest of the way!
Before I do all this work, how do I know if the block or head are warped?

Now I know why this is an expensive repair. Good job.
Thank you!
Hey, I'm going to re-install my cams and i realized thinner lines used to set the timing on the cams we're not aligned with the yellow links in my chain.
The car ran just fine before removal but were definitely not aligned like in your video (they're almost 180 off from the thinner line on the cam gear +/- 3 teeth).
Should i just reinstall the cams as they were? (I marked them before removal)
If you didn’t rotate the crank or cams and your marks line up and car ran fine before you should be fine.
Why did you have to replace the head gasket?
If it warrants replacement such as coolant in the oil, burning coolant or overheated the engine etc.
@@motorcarnutHow do you know if there is coolant in the oil?
