Instead of being caught up in the "selfish life of an actor" he’s finding satisfaction in more meaningful pursuits.
This two-part Australian Story documentary also focuses on Joel’s work as a global ambassador for Australian eye charity, The Fred Hollows Foundation.

Joel is such a talented actor, deserves more leading roles. He's also attractive. Thank you for posting this, I'm in the US so I'm glad i got to watch this.
I don’t think Joel Edgerton is an underrated actor. No one can’t deny his extraordinary talent and versatility. But he’s different from the rest. He wants acting and doesn’t care about money or becoming a millionaire celebrity. I celebrate his brilliant career the way he thinks and his way of feel 🤗
I heart Joel. Wonderful, dynamic actor and a beautiful man. One of my favorite male actors. The movies he is in never disappoint, especially the independent films.

One of my favourite actors of all time...underated actor deserves much more praise
Joel Egerton caught my attention in a film called 'Loving', about an interracial marriage in the 60s. Australia is a small country population wise but it has so much incredible talent.
I have been having similar thoughts recently. It's a big country with a smaller population, so Australian people seem to have bigger hearts.

Don’t miss “wish you were here” if your a fan of “The Boys” you’ll be pleasantly surprised. 😂 You really need to be an Australian to sit down and watch the film without complaints, plenty of culture. A wonderful film overall with a great conclusion 😊
Much to my delight I found “Felony” if your Australian the film really hits home. It’s a narrative which I’m ashamed to say echoes around Australia hitting Australian in the heart because most have been there. Naturally Joel wrote the screenplay and I believe it’s Jai Cortneys break out role because Hollywood came calling him after this film. Just saying correct me if I’m wrong.

Che Anarchist Damn. I’m an adoring fan of his. Been since a tot. Tbh, yeah, that’s difficult to take in. I was aware of his guilty pleasures/indulgences..didn’t know they started that young. Your information is very specific so I do take your word for it. Unless you mistook him for another person. Part of me wishing that was the case. Sigh. :-(
In regards to his death, that’s a complex subject. No doubt were some of the circumstances alarming to say the very least. Part of me holds strong resentment for those two women (housekeeper and masseuse) at the apartment that day. I know Heath suffered from insomnia, but he was supposed to meet with director Shekhar Kapur that morning. He would have been awake for him. Some things definitely do not add up, but unless persons associated with Heath in those final weeks/days, who hadn’t already provided their account of events, reveal information, all we can do is accept his death for the accident it was. It wasn’t purposeful, that’s for certain. I honestly do not believe he was murdered. At least not deliberately. Some non-medical person may have supplied him more prescriptions, but I don’t think they were knowledgeable of his other ones. Also, it was likely miscommunication between the 2+ doctors. Heath was uneducated about what could be ingested together.
Che Anarchist I agree that Heath knew a lot and he definitely would not have been afraid to expose anybody who proved detrimental. He was absolutely repulsed with the true Hollywood. Disgusted with the money hungry, power obsessed maniacs. Pedophiles.
He loved his craft, but the fame and that cult-like community known as Hollywood, it’s undoubtedly apparent how detached he made himself. He wanted to be as far away from it all as possible.
Probably a decent reason he wanted to move into directing as well.
jcchi12 yes he was off all the bS in the industry-kind off like the same way Chris Hemsworth is , my sister’s boyfri Just built his house he was the foreman & they just finished it about six months ago ,Chris shouted everyone lunch and drinks all the electricians all the plumbers everyone involved & all their families party up at the beach hotel and Matt Damon’s just got a house just across the road from Chris back in the days it was definitely Heath no mistaken identity’s there, I met him at cast Oz show called sweat , we kept in contact , I remember him talking a lot about the film two hands he was so excited about that , that was filmed in Sydney.. If you haven’t seen it , two hands , definitely have to catch that little gem 💎
jcchi12 the two street kids in the film two hands were real cross street kids & a lady named mo hues adopted them & few other street kids as well & brought them to Mullumbimby and in rolled them into my high school. Heath loved that ! She was the coolest lady .

She was talking about the movie The Great Gatsby. Even USA reviews singled out Edgerton’s performance as being the outstanding performance. She was not comparing the two actors in general.
