This is absolutely gorgeous!! I’m not usually a big fan of stencils, but the subtle color difference gave the piece texture, and the gold for the hardware looks great! I have a couple of old dressers of similar style and condition, and I now have some great ideas! Thanks for the video! ❤
I'm not a fan of sage because it can be so flat like a beige but the stencils gave it some dimension and the gold knobs were just the right amount of Extra! Nicely done!
I love the 'Ooops & mistakes' paint mixtures - always the best! I like your attention to detail and meticulous designs!!! I also feel your pain on moving furniture by oneself. I have so many ideas and plans that sometimes can't come to fruition because I work alone. Sometimes it weighs me down. Two of great note: 1) I moved a 1703 (circa) fireplace mantle surround by myself from the garage opening to a slight decline outside. When it began to rain I had an amazingly and dangerous time getting it back in & it began to fall apart. I had to leave it in the middle of the floor for months until someone could help me get it upright & stored until... (who knows?) and 2) A double door set of mid 1800's solid chestnut Eastlake doors for a client. I can't even speak about that. Beautiful work as always, Cat
Thanks, Cat! Gosh, you really have been through it with the heavy pieces! I think if I didn't have to move things up and down the stairs, I'd fare much better! Speaking of Oops paint, I almost always buy whatever Home Depot has. For 50 cents I'm sure to find a use for it some day ... I need to catch up on your videos!
@@tracymillerdesigns Thanks, Tracy! Yes, for me it's Lowe's because I have one available. The mistints! And sometimes I add calcium carbonate to them to make my own chalk style paint! Gotta love it and get it where you can!
We have an old dresser that looks pretty much like that one, right down to the lovely fake maple color. I would LOVE having it look like this one! But it came from my husband's side of the family, so he's the one who makes the final decision -- which has so far been to hide it up on the third floor. Where, ironically, I painted the walls about the same shade of green!
I forgot to mention that on the back it says "Gardner White" which is a Michigan based company dating to 1912. (I'm in Michigan.) I get it that you can't paint a family piece - My Mom's chest of drawers, which is now mine, will always remain the deep dark finish it came with. I'm loving green these days!
That is just a beautiful green! You found the perfect stencil! And those clunky knobs surprisingly looks amazing on this once very sad dresser! Came out really great!
You always do amazing work! This green is so cool and relaxing! I love the design on the drawers and the gold drawer pulls look awesome! Beautiful transformation! 😊❤
I would love for you to continue watching my channel, but for great explanations of what they're doing and why, watch someone like www.youtube.com/@salvagedbykscott She goes into just enough detail, but doesn't talk too much.
Thank you! It's kinda hard to say how long it took me since I work on it a couple hours at a time. But I would say 12 hours? I really should start keeping track.
It turned out beautifully! I’m glad that you modified the bottom piece; it definitely looks better.
Thanks, Kay!
Wow !!! What a beautiful piece of Eye Candy.!!!!!! Love it.!!!!😊😊😊
Ooh! Thank you!

Thank you for saying that! Yeah, with stencils you have to be careful or they come off looking artsy craftsy. Good luck with your old dressers!
I'm typically not a stencil fan but I like the subtle color change. Looks nice.
Thank you for saying so!
This is my favorite so far....I just started binge watching your videos a couple of days ago and am very impressed!
Gosh, I don't know if I've been binge-watched before! Thank you!
I don't always like gold but really like this one.
Me, too! Thanks!

It's really beautiful! I'm sorry it was so heavy, but you did a great job on it! I love the colors!
Thanks! Yeah, I learned my lesson once and for all!

@@hickorygolddoc Thank you! I've used this stencil many times, and will likely use many times again!

I appreciate you! Thank you!
That green color is beautiful and then adding the stenciling and gold knobs made it really pop!
Thanks so much!
Wonderful job! Thank you.
Thank you, Sunny!
Beautiful outcome
Thanks so much!
Maybe a dolly style like they use to move fridges would be helpful. Harbor Freight has them.
I could use one of those to help me get it from the car to the house. It's on my to-buy list for sure!
Please -- for those of us new to flipping who are just getting started -- tell us what you're doing and why!

That turned out beautiful. May I ask how long did it take you to do the entire process?
Thank you! It's kinda hard to say how long it took me since I work on it a couple hours at a time. But I would say 12 hours? I really should start keeping track.
I personally don't like the gold knobs at all, but otherwise it is stunning!
Thanks!!!

Have you tried moving it with the drawers removed?
I did always move it without the drawers. It's still so heavy!
Stunning! ♥
Thank you!!!
Мне ненравится крашенная мебель ... можно сделать как она была , а это безкусица получилось
I've heard that many people don't like painted furniture. Thank you for taking the time to comment.
