Thanks for taking the time to make this comprehensive comparison. You made it tougher for me to decide between the two. I'm leaning towards the kronos though because it has karma and more controls.

61 key Nautilus is about a grand cheaper than 61 key Kronos 2. So I can easily do without Karma, the vector joystick, and the smaller touchview screen. But I don't want a modern workstation without after touch and a ribbon controller. Korg shouldve put those two standard features in Nautilus. Those 2 missing features are the deal-breaker for me.

@@oldschoollee I ended up buying a nautilus and it’s honestly really fantastic. It’s a little bit cheap feeling but professional. It’s exactly what I wanted.

@@tempesthoughton4441 After touch and ribbon controller are trivial. So I ended up buying a 61 key Nautilus for a steal. Paid $1400 + taxes & shipping on a used "excellent condition" one from Guitar Center. Which had a few scratches and scrapes on the side and bottom metal lol. So GC exaggerated the condition. Just got it yesterday. The only other cosmetic issue that I have with it is the small lower left round plastic piece that broke off the edge side of the top of workstation, where the joystick is. Since I found the broken piece in the box, Ill assume that damage occurred while in transit. No biggie. A combination of bad packaging by Guitar Center and UPS mishandling. That lower top plastic overhang on both sides of the key bed is flimsy. But I like the design. Just wished the lower top overhang were the same material as the upper top overhang. Otherwise it looks brand new. Great sound and 14 updated expansions that are not included or compatible with Kronos. I prefer the updated interface over the Kronos as well. It's definitely a fantastic workstation. You made the right choice.

I had the Krome EX, Kronos 2 61, and now I have the Nautilus 61. I think the Nautilus sounds more accessible and more pleasant to listen to. Playing this instrument is pure satisfaction. Kronos has a more severe character. It looks as if Korg engineers have given the Kronos an easier & nicer version. The keyboard is probably the same, but in Nautilus it feels a bit deeper. Between Kronos and Nautilus I had Krome EX, so maybe that's why I feel in Nautilus. To sum up, Korg Nautilus is the best equipment I've ever dealt with. Affordable price, something beautiful.

I don't know if its because of youtube video sound compression or what but I can't tell a difference and I have a good ear!. I would bet others couldn't tell a difference if they weren't watching the video. I think that this proves that instrument makers are basically churning out the same thing year after year in a different package with a different name. I will say I have heard better string sounds than the ones at 3:40. Also turn the reverb off of all sounds to make them clearer. I was impressed with the reed and wind instrument sounds. In the end, its not the instrument, its how you use it.

I'm trying to decide which one to buy. Fernando sounds pretty confident there is a "boost" to the Nautilus. To me it sounds like some sounds have been re-eq'd slightly brighter. This is just what it sounds like to me. Other sounds I hear no difference. Some people say the Kronos has better DAC chips and the Nautilus is not capable of producing the same quality of sound. My feeling is listen for yourself, if there is really a big difference to your ear, then make a choice based on that. If not, make your choice based on factors other than sound.

I would probably get the Kronos the Nautilus seems like a cheap knockoff just to get rid of buttons knobs and a solid body.I It's the same thing Yamaha did with montge and modx the same thing but things out just to save money and make more money. Any keybwords over $1500 Should have metal frame keys like that had in late 90s and 2000 keywords made with pride. And what ever happened to E MU. I can personally say a lot of the older keywords sound a lot better because of the electronics put in to them not the same anymore 😕
