    I know, I know, there will always be the " only GS matter", but for me, what is going around and behind it is also very important.
    For someone who has spent as no.1 FOUR(4 yrs.) more than Nadal, 2 1/2 yrs. more than Sampras, and 2 yrs.
    more than Federer, number of wins at GS tournaments is the next all time record where I have my eyes
    set on.
    Currently Djokovic has 94 wins both at AO and RG, and " only" 88 at USO.If he could finish his career with at least 95 wins from all four GS tournaments, that would be another record that might not be broken in our lifetimes.
    At 37, Djokovic will not be able to dominate overwhelmingly like he did in the past, but here and there he might be able to add a gem or two and finish his brilliant legacy on his terms, when he feels comfortable to enter the next chapter of his life.

      Rafa is respectful when they ask him about Novak in general. However, when they keep asking him is he the goat which they do constantly in the last year, it's obvious that he wont straightforwardly say YES and keep explaining why. When he was asked to talk about Novak in their meeting and career overall, Nadal always respectfully said good things about Djokovic.

    • @crikitaftw
      @crikitaftw 8 месяцев назад +9

      I don't think Nadal has ever been disrespectful to Djokovic. If you mean that he hasn't had as many words of praise for him as the other way around, I would agree with that, but I also get it. Their personalities don't seem very compatible, and I feel the main reason for any animosity from Nadal (and many tennis fans) would be Djokovic's "tactics" to stop/ruin the physical rhythm of his opponents.

    As a Rafa fan, it's awesome to hear Novak's perspective on Rafa's evolution as a player, for example, how Rafa strengthened his backhand to become a serious weapon in the latter stages of his career - no doubt a necessary adaptation to the pressure that Novak exerted on that wing for so many years (especially 2011-2016) through his own very effective DTL backhand that would defensively corner Rafa's backhand, allowing Novak to then attack Rafa's wide open forehand side. Both players made each other much better through multiple momentum swings and back-and-forth iterations in their rivalry over the decades. Novak's respect for Rafa is heartwarming (as is Rafa's for Novak); it's a shame their fanbases are often so disrespectful towards one another.

    The Conversation about the behavior of the crowd is straightforward. Opposing fans engage in heckling, dissenting, taunting, sabotaging, and deriding the opponent during the game; It's very different than supporting your favorites. This kind of bad behavior typical of people who feel inferior is often seen in clubs and matches where parents of losers verbally bully their kids' opponents. It is never been tolerated in tennis and should be tolerated today.

    and she had no reason to complain. When she was playing Osaka, part of the audience (minority) behaved like a bunch of drunk rowdies at a football match, screaming and yelling regardless of who was winning or losing. They didn't seem to care about the score or tennis in general.

      When both were in their peak physically, 2010-2013 Rafa beat him many times on hard courts and in majors. Rafa has a great all court game, if Nole wasn’t so dominant in Australia he would had like 5 AO titles to. And the same can be said at RG, if Rafa wasn’t so dominant Nole would win more there. But that’s what makes their rivalry so special
