@@buzzfunk No man. I personally think what Rafa did is the most difficult out of all of them. Winning 22 - when you only have 1 major per year on your best surface, and you've been injured for about 20% of the majors... It's insane. He's my GOAT. I'm just saying - Djokovic is a good dude and is as tough as they come. Tennis wise I think Nole and Rafa are as equal as you can come, but have different strengths for different surfaces.
Not sure why there's an argument about this in the comments. If the GOATs themselves have mutual respect for each other, why do we have to bicker about their results? They're both the pillars of tennis and that's all that matters
Getting classier and his English skills are flawless. I saw a bit of his match. He had a different look. I dont mean the cloths, just a different energy and vibe. Good luck Nole
I have been saying that his loss of form in 2024 had nothing to do with age and mainly to do with the chaos of his coaching team. Ivanasevic and team leaving after so many successful years together has left a vacuum inside him. He is not playing freely as in 2023. It feels like he is having to do with the physical demands and the mental demands both. I hope he finalises on a team asap and gels well with them. But best best imo is for Ivanasevic and team to come back. Just a matter of 2 years. If the form is like yesterday, I don't see him winning the tournament.
Yes, seeing Nadal playing is a tremendous treat, still, and losing, well, in this tournament 127 of the 128 will lose, so what ? A pity he met Zverev, but he still has his place on the tour. To be clear, my number 1 forever is and always will be NOLE, since he was 17. With love from Belgium 🇧🇪!
I watched the match. Novak looked OK, not great. Reminded me of 2024 Australian Open form (perhaps even worse). He looks like he has poor reaction time now. And his return of serve is not near his best. Overall, his game just looks not great. Unless he improves dramatically, don’t see any chance of him winning this tournament this year.
RG is always extremely hard for him to win even at his peak, so winning it no where near his best is simply impossible. Getting some good form is what he should seek out of RG, to set himself up for Wimbledon!
I agree and I would attribute it to the sudden change in Ivanasevic leaving and there being a vacuum in his coaching team. Looks like there is no place for him to vent out and he is having to do both the physical on court stuff and the off court stuff that the coaching team takes care of. That's a lot for any player even for Novak. He is not moving freely and I feel he looks mentally burdened. He is not mentally free. This form, I don't see him winning the tournament. But if anyone can overcome, it is him. I wish he sorts out the coach and team gels soon with the new team. Or better yet maybe Ivanasevic and the entire team can come back together. He has anyway maximum of 2 years left.
Thats what we all thought last year when he was playing well. He’s playing worse now. Unless he wins the French I don’t see him beating Alcaraz or Sinner.
What I don’t understand is Djoker has better at the us open +125 then Wimbledon +175 despite being 7-2 in Wimbledon finals and 4-6 at us open finals. Strange.
I don't understand why people are making fun of that or encouraging this type of behaviour from fans. That damn metal bottle definitely hit him hard on his head. Why else would he bleed, need to shave a bit of his hair to treat the wound, getting stitches or a scan? I mean he doesn't have to be your favourite player, but why are people happy when someone gets injured? Such a twisted mindset and deep hatred people have. I'll never be able to understand it.
@@Supreme-ni1yt I never encourage to throw bottle to Novak. It's that we've heard so much fake news and fallacies from Novak in recent years that it seems to me that he was looking for a bit of irony. And despite this, I admire him a lot as a player

@MishaWilson Engano. Números não mentem. Djokovic é o GOAT. Nadal em segundo.

fair assessment ... he has been off whole year... body or mind or both... and it isn't normal to lose a coach who has given one success...
