Hands of steel. There's few that can match him.
How do I know?
I've done my solo acoustic act for decades. It's grueling. And, I'm not anywhere near the TE level.
Especially after crawling through a river of shit and coming out clean on the other side
I love it when Tommy looks like he’s having more fun than everyone in the room!
I'm convinced if Tommy never made it, he'd still play as much as he does.

Hearing and seeing this concert for the first time 20 years ago truly changed my life. I still remember where I was, what time, the smells, the messiness of my room, when I saw it, and also how low my jaw dropped.
That is what music can do. The smell the taste the sound the time...

Now 22 years later - he just wowed everyone at the Hardly Strictly Bluegrass festival in San Francisco! Roy videoed the event and you can catch Tommy's performance towards the end of the 3rd day, Oct 1 on youtube.

I've seen Tommy E. live in Denmark many years ago but this performance is one of the best of him I think and he is still rockin' so damn good...he is like a Zeus of all guitar players, no ofence to other very good guitar players like Joscho Stephan/Richard Smith/Andy Timmons/Steve Vai...you name it!
Makes me miss Jerry Garcia. I wonder how these two together would sound in a purely acoustic format. Jerry could switch to banjo, or pedal steel...fantastic!

I saw Tommy in Auckland, NZ in 2000. Same repertoire. Absolutely outstanding entertainer and down to earth guy.

У Томми есть талант и музыканта, и талант комика-стэндапера, не каждый музыкант так может. Да, можно выйти на сцену и просто сыграть пару композиций и уйти, получив свое бабло, а можно подойти к выступлениям на сцене, к своим зрителям, к тому, чем занимаешься с душой, и развеселить публику, при чем не тупым юмором, и еще сыграть виртуозно и весело!

The most fantastic composition I have ever heard. Tommy Emmanuel saved my life. I've had-death experiences several times in the past few years. Tommy came into my life and I saw him on December 13th 2022 at the Rio Theater in Santa Cruz California. I will be seeing him once again on the same day, December 13th 2023. His Talent presence and demeanor makes him one of the most precious human beings on the planet.
