Very amusing triple ACU drop, but the real hero was the 900 rated player who quietly just build 2 Tempests and dislodged the Team 1 controlled lake when left alone

I mean, one team was at 2x to 3x the mass income for most of the game. Some fun moments early, but was definitely a foregone conclusion.

So im like 90% sure DumpsterFire is roleplaying his name or is simply sleeping on and off for most of the game here.
Definitely. He wouldn't even spare 2 or 3 sacrificial ASFs to scout the most dangerous position in the game for his teleporter-and-laser-armed teammate to take out. It's also a shame he didn't teleport in right after the failed bombing run, because even if he died his death explosion would've finished off the anti-nuke and they'd have cleared the entire bottom half of the map with a nuke on Salty.
So many terrible decisions made one after the other. Zero scouting, zero air coverage... just nothing. Had he paid attention left could have won the game.
You know something is not right when the enemy is casually airlifting in a commander right next to your air players base and it still takes minutes to kill it... mainly by other commanders.
Or when a commander gets torpedo bomber sniped half a screen away from the air players main base, feels like they could have just dived in with a bunch of T1 bombers and wiped away most of Dumpsters base before he would notice since he obviously either didnt have a radar or at least never used it.
And is it energy storage that they were building so many of up at the top right? It's like it was supposed to be SAMs but misclick...
@@Argonwolfproject Yeah, selc is a guilty of negligence too imo. It's always sad to see someone who lost their whole base due to negligence chastising everyone else lol.
Plus yeah why was he sat on his laurels being cagey with his commander when his commander was as good as dead anyways lol?
I guess salty goes by that name because he causes salt, not because he himself is salty lol

Well that was disappointing. Team 1 didn't play as a team, team 2 did. Team 1 had many ways to take out Salty, but due to lack of team work they couldn't get anything done.
That balancing economy joke was well done.

Yeah the big turn circle means the any surviving shields might have time to come back up.
When they were pushing through the gap in the hills it reminded me of 300, a shit ton of poor soldiers facing of against better trained and equipped dudes. Very cool!
Kudos to Gallows, Salty and Actually Cep for actually making use of a interesting strategy in gap. It’s even bette that they all went together and supported each other. That’s teamwork folks

Don't know if it's just me Gyle but the audio on this one seems left balanced way more than previous videos. Thought my headset was broken for a second

I'm playing FAF for years on and off, discovered your channel weeks ago and watched all your ~25 last casts in that time.
I really like your casting-style, you have a great voice, showcase different phases in the game, so we see all the action (rush, stand-off, air, T4, game-enders..) and you got a nice humour.
But there is a tiny bit of critique tho: Sometimes you seem to be blind and cant find the easiest to spot (important) targets when zoomed out, like nuke craters and T4 etc. and ask yourself "what happened here?" while scrolling by a nuke crate or something ^^. I think I'm not the only one who yells at his screen, that some obvious things happened, which you were to blind to see. That's just part of your personality as a caster and you cant have your eyes everywhere while speaking and comparing economy-stats, tho. So this is no big deal for me, it's more like a "classic Gyle"-moment now, then a negative one :).
So thanks for casting this amazing game, which I discovered in ~2007 and loved ever since as the greatest, biggest, most diverse and complex RTS.
I really hope this community never dies and hopefully technology advances this much, that we can play a 4v4 on setons with everybody maxing out their unit cap without getting a minus 10 simspeed.

@@TeutonicFarms i think Heaven has a youtube channel for that. Also there are a lot of resources and information on the Faf server itself. Just jump in. You can play sandbox games alone to test stuff out or play an AI opponent. That is unranked so nothing to lose. Another good way is watch replays of games on the faf server and see what others do

@@GyleCast It's a naval strategy game with no reinforcements on the way. Players have to capture a few islands or be the last ship sailing to win.
I own supreme commander but have 0 capacity to play it well (despite owning other rts games and being passable on them). So glad I stumbled across your channel a couple years ago because I get the experience of top-shelf supreme commander matches despite having an offbrand amount of skill in the game haha.
It's nice to see Gyle getting pretty good viewing figures when compared to other games related youtubers, such as Mighty Jingles and Flamu.
As a game I'd rate FAF as at least as much of an enjoable spectacle to watch as World of Warships. So maybe in time Gyle will regularly break the 100k viewing figure barrier...

I have noticed on a few of my latest games having issues with T2 Artillery not firing like what happens at the 13-15 min mark, I've yet to find a solution, changing the firing modes does nothing, All I can do is manual fire, which is annoying when it's loads of targets and I need to be doing other stuff
it has to do with steep elevation changes, for instance in this game if the T2 arty was farther away from the plateau it would have been able to fire.
Yellow dude GallowsBird got way too cocky. That's how he lost. He thought he was invincible.
So yeah, gyle if you ever see that happening on the hill, arty won't shoot up it's a big on this map, there's some weird places it will shoot from, but it's seen as bug abuse
I've made that t2 arty mistake before, they just can't shoot onto significant highground, now matter how I try to force them. But if they're on the highground, they can shoot almost anything. They just seem to have a limit on their firing angle because of the arc. Most PD seem to be like this

They rushed t3, the other team didn't have t3 until 5 min after they landed.
I lost it when the guy who definitely could've killed the enemy commander blamed his teammates for not killing it.
love the cast, shame about the game. Could watch this one on silent and have some crazy piano music playing the odd tune of many unfortunate decisions xD

Do cybran t2 arty have too low of a firing arc to hit high elevation or something? Weird that kstein reacted well but his t2 artillery just didn't do anything.

Can someone tell me why at 32:00 he died? He had plenty of health to survive a com explosion.
Pink knew that the other commander was going to catch up and kill him, so he ctrl + kd to self destruct and blow up the transport which was carrying the other commander, which blew him up too
When the comm is in the transport it relies on the transports health, which is much less than the comm. So if the transport dies with the comm in it, the comm dies. Cheeky, yet brilliant move

this seems to be more like an AVG joes game... Except for the three on team 2, they were super well coordinated which makes me think they were on comms with each other....

I know people are upset with DumpsteFire, and rightly so, but honestly aside from Cancer and maybe ezkill, Left really bungled things. Even with Right handing over two of their commanders on a silver platter for free, they should NEVER have let those three get set up on the plateau, and that play was what eventually broke them. Stec could have even just blind tele’d in at the end, popped, and given them an easy nuke on Salty, but they all sat there blaming Dumpster instead.
Sad game... the moment the 3 coms drop succeeded it was over.
I think if they would have just build a scout for TP they could've won.
You misunderstood me. They could have... but they did not. I agree that the com drop was an all-in move and could have been easily shutdown. And there were things they could have done differently, for example make a push topside. But instead we got... well, rest of the game. Like Gile said, it was painful to watch them basically throw it away. That is why it was sad game.

Hey Gyle, i would consider playing FAF but i have no clue to perform well in multiplayer. So can you give a hint on were to look for like buildorders and stuff alike to find a good start instead of learning it the hard way?
This was super frustrating to watch, all anyone wanted to do was build PD and sit back. If you want to win you should be pushing forward as much as you can

Dual Gap, the map I hate the most. I guess it's nice for gap players to have a Gyle cast sometimes. Luckily he mainly casts other maps.
Not against one or the other, but the lack of scouting - even with a few ASF's - enraged me. Then this failed strat bomber run on top - aaargh! Then this idionic (80's slang) double nuke fail. SIgh. Next time listen to Salty, though Salty could have teleported in, died but destroying the SMD, which would clear the path for 3 nukes and end the 1700.

Makes sense, but you think they would use some of their navy and stopped salty from making things. Salty but the team so much time

For some reason your audio sounded weird... like it was only coming out of one half of my headset but I've checked and double checked and its only on this video. The audio is definitely coming out both halves but there's this weird... dissonant feel to it that I just can't explain that isn't in your other videos.
Hey i have a problem with playing on a new maps.I downloaded a few maps but still can play only on basic maps.When I join to the lobby with mod map I see a black square instead the real map view.Do you know what i did wrong ? I have all downloaded maps in right files (Supreme commander Forget Alliance).
Hm, if those Gunther hadn't bugged it should not have been an issue. There was just such a long time the proxy did not have decent shielding at all. Does anyone have an idea why it might have been this way? I guess maybe there’s targeting proplems due to the proxy being quite far up?
If he placed his gunthers further back it would've been fine. It's all down to angle

Everything you see that's different from the base game is an added base feature of the client when you play on Forged Alliance Forever.
