- Frenchman mountain, one of the hardest, toughest and steepest hikes in Las Vegas, we started at 6pm and reach the peak at about 8:30pm, the views were amazing!! we return about 9:30pm and the trail was in pitch black darkness, holly crap what an adventure!!!

Hiking The Frenchman Mountain Lake Mead Las Vegas
The start is what stops most people.
Great video and good choice of song! I'm intending to do this when I visit Vegas in December. How was the hike down in the dark? Was there much ambient light or do you really need torches?
The hike down is very hard on your knees so please take a pair of hiking poles an you'll be fine.
Start your hike at arround 4:30 so you can see the sunset from the top, take pictures also take a light tripod and water. Ambien light is enogh but you can take a head lamp just in case.
Good luck, most people who attemp this hike only make it to half way.
