Watch a full tutorial as a 2012 Kia Rio will have a new license plate backup camera installed. We will be adding this camera to an existing aftermarket radio installed previously.

You skipped right over the parts I wanted to see. The transfer of the wire from the cab to the trunk and the hole placement for the camera wire from the plate to the trunk.

I bought my touch screen double din stereo 2 weeks ago and l installed my rear view camera that l bought separate and it’s super great.
My 2013 Kia Rio already have a backup camera. Should I expect that there is already a cable for it and possibly follow your directions on how you wired it into the new receiver? I feel like I need to follow the directions from the first video and look at what cables are plugged into the back of the stock receiver.

If you have the Hatchback it's better to install an aftermarket camera mounted inside at the top of the rear window so the rear wiper clears your view easily. My factory camera is always getting dirty and can't see unless you get out and wipe the camera each time.
Jo, nice job. I wanted to install one on my. Is it possible to connect to the reverse break light, if the camera is inside the car.

I have a 2016 Kia soul with an aftermarket Jensen head unit. I got the trigger hooked up for the reverse, but cant find the wire for the camera.

Would you recommend this install option for the 2017 kia rio with manual transmission? Or running the camera power off the radio?
I didn't think you were meant to use the ground wire on the reverse light. It's meant to be ground to the chassis.
Ground wire of the reverse light is the same as the ground to the chassis. Where it may differ is in resistance. If you have a high impedance with one or the other, you will want to choose the method of lease resistance.

Does this pioneer unit would work with a factory built in camera in a 2012 kia rio HB?
You may have to find an adapter harness to retain the camera. Check with your local audio shops.

Hi, do you know where i can find the reverse wire on 2016 Rio5 at the dash area? I do not want to run the wire all the way back to the reverse light.
If you have a smart harness, they may have it there. If not, you can possibly locate it in the kick panel or at the tail light. You may end of needing to run a line to the tail light along with your video wire.
I can see that there is 2 antenna connections, one is Fakta and other is ISO. Do I have to purchase Fakra to ISO adapter if I already have ISO antenna jack?

Depends on a few things. If you have a factory nav system, you may be able to find an kit to run an added camera to the factory radio. Kia's are tough though, so without further research, probably not. I'm wondering how you determined which wires on the reverse light to "piggy back". At 4:08 you say that we know the green wire is positive and the black is negative, but how do we know? Did you read the wiring diagram for the car?
