- Stagg loaned me this guitar and two others for review. Please check those out and my other 40+ reviews.
I was not paid by Stagg and actually it cost me time and money collecting them.
I’m a novice so Stagg thought a ‘novice to novice’ review might be helpful to someone.
Www.Stagg.com to find a dealer
This sounds much better than the cheaper one, clearer, fuller. Definitely an improvement. I like the look too.
Hi Leo, yes it’s a good step up for not too much more money
Yes! The review is finally here!!! Thanks Rich. Being a novice player just getting back into playing myself these reviews help me learn what I need to know.
Been looking at this guitar and simply love it. Played one the other
day and after the review I convinced of getting it!
Hi Stephen,
I glad the review helped. Super guitar for the money, so many features! I hope you enjoy it and push on with your progress 👍🏻
I have this exact guitar - same color (colour for you Brits) and everything. I picked it up about 6 weeks ago or so - and I have to say.... it is AMAZING! I have owned a ton of guitars through the years, and still have a bunch in the collection. And this one is honestly one of my favorites. The thing is heavy as steel, and built like a TANK (just not a Russian one LOL). The pickups are very good. Not great. But very good, IMO. Roasted maple neck. Push/pull on the Humbucker, as you indicated. And I grabbed it for $150 in a private retail shop. I stole it!! I almost feel bad, and like I should go over there and give the owner another $100 bucks. LOL I mean.... the one I got is just phenomenal, as long as you don't mind a heavy guitar. As far as not having the most "vintage" tone... I think it sounds great. but Strats are just so easy to mod.... and this one is no different. If you want great bones, for incredible price, and wanted something you could mod later with pick-ups, to spread the cost.... this is it. Unbelievable deal on these. Get them before they go way up!!!
Hi praise indeed Jimmy! So pleased you love yours, that’s great news and totally agree with everything you’ve said 👍🏻
Russian tanks are one of the best , and God forbid you will encounter a victim of propaganda with them
@@user-tj7cd7xd8p.. Amazing .. 50 leopards burned out within 6 weeks .. field full of western nato material blown up.. and this guy is so brainwashed, he has to put "russian tank" in a guitar video. Imagine how lost he is
I like everything except bound fingerboard and block inlays…I feel that is reserved for Gibsons.
I’m with you there 👍🏻
Nice review of a great looking guitar. I like the bound fretboard with block inlays, the satin roasted neck and the subtle logo on the black headstock. 👍
I think they did a good job of this one 👍🏻
I don't like bound boards or block inlays on strats. Personal taste.
nice review..i realy love how its look..and the best thing 2 pivot tremolo..
Hi Muhammad, I like the looks too, something a bit different and 2 point trem is great for sure. Thank you for watching and commenting, much appreciated 🙏
This black head with natural body and silver pickup is nice. Like it even more than the blue one. It's not a vintage Strat tone to me, but rather as you said a modern tone, a bit unfortunate. Would love to get my hands on one eventually if I find it used for good price. Thanks for the review and thanks Stagg!
Thank you for the feedback. It’s a great looking guitar but like you, I prefer vintage tone too
Great review rich and great playing there too keep up the great work u do pal
Too kind Kevin, thank you for sticking with me 🙏
Thank you for the review!👍🏼
Thank you kindly for watching ☺️
OOooh! Alder Body at that price is impressive! Nice job mate! 😀👍
Good value guitar is this one!
lovely looking guitar that 1 the grain is beautiful 🎸🎸
It is, bit unusual looking too
Very nice Strat 🎸
Thank you David. Several more Stagg and other reviews here if you'd like to look.
Rich
Thank you so much ! 💯
Are you sure it's 3.7 kilos? I am getting my first electric guitar and confused if I should get this. How much does an electric guitar weighs on average if this is considered heavy ?
This is about average
For guitars in this price range, I think I like the look of the Stagg guitars best. And these cheapos are just asking for better pickups to be installed.
You’re Joe, Stagg doing a great job. Thanks for tuning in
I'm ordering this right now!
Fabulous!! Thank you for watching and glad it was helpful 👍🏻
Is that a roasted maple neck and a contoured heel joint?
Yes and yes! 😁
8lbs is heavy for a Strat as my old USA Strat from 2007 weighs 7lbs , also these Stagg guitars are dirt cheap , I dont know how they can produce something of that quality for £150 quid as for that price at GAK or Andertons you would be lucky to get a cheap Squier Bullet Strat.
Hi Christine
So many guitars now at sensible prices from Stagg, Harley and Jett too.
Thank you for watching and commenting, really appreciate it
@@thenovicenoisemaker Thank you and yeah Harley Benton make some really good Strat and Tele copies too , can never have too many guitars , i remember 20 years ago when i first learned guitar my dad bought me a Jay Turser Strat it cost him like £200 quid new which was a lot of money back in 2002 but sadly that guitar was a piece of garbage , was so happy when i got my first Squier Strat it was miles better , anyway it cant be a bad thing that cheap guitar brands are getting better , every little helps.
@@christineayres7199 totally agree. Money is hard come by so good guitars for less is better.
My latest video on two Harley Benton’s that have been to a Tech really shows just how good they can be with a little bit of time and a bit extra cash
@@thenovicenoisemaker Yeah 100% Good example of not wasting money , whatever you do never buy a Brian May Red Special copy , I bought the official Brian may guitar for £700 from the authorised dealer in Bagshot UK a few years back and it was terrible , poor fretwork and not even made in UK it was made in Korea which for a £900 pound guitar is not good so took it back and traded for 2 guitars an Epiphone Les Paul and a Squier 50s strat much better
@@christineayres7199 eeek that’s not good at all! I had a terrible Epiphone LP Modern Fugured, £600 and alsorts of issues
You are morean intermediate level player or a bit beyond. Don't sell yourself short. :-)
Awww bless you that’s so kind, thank you 🙏
