Great video mahn. I just got a Stagg tele with a plan to use it as a sort of kit guitar. Really impressed with it in general, needs a few upgrades but brillant for what you pay.

My god, I swear I never see enough people complain about neck heels. I cannot stand big square neck heels. I had a nice Jackson. Great guitar. But it had a big square neck heel with no attempt to make it more comfortable. Same with the Squiers/Fenders and Epiphones/Gibsons I've played.
Most of my guitars are Ibanez because not only do I seem to have good luck with their QC and playability, but they all have the sculpted neck heel. I have one with neck-thru but, I honestly don't NEED neck through. I can hit the 24th fret easily with the Ibanez sculpted heel. I got an Ibanez AZES because I can't stand the heel on squiers.
I see tons of people say stuff like "I don't play the high frets", "It doesn't bother me that much", or even worse "Nobody plays the 24th fret", which is just a straight up lie.
If you don't play high frets, then why is it a problem if the guitar has a comfortable heel? Its just an improvement. And with the square heel, it starts annoying me at the 19th fret on a lot of guitars. Saying it doesn't bother you is just you coping. Its like saying "I don't want $20 because I only need $10 right now." You're not missing out on anything if you DO have a comfortable heel, and some people really really value them, like us.
Great video, mate. Stagg guitars are on my radar now.

Unfortunately coping seems to be a huge aspect of guitar fandom lmao. There are some objectively better designs and a sculpted neck heel is one of them.

That block of a neck heel annoys me too! That‘s why I like Ibanez and Cort guitars so more than others. But what I do on LP type and strat or tele style guitars: I round the heel off and carve a belly cut on the body. On strats the volume knob is in my way, so I replace the pot with a on/off mini button for the neck pickup, having just master volume and master tone (for neck and bridge, but not middle).

Jet Guitars will be a winner for you and many Firefly’s.

Very good vid, was considering buying the red lackered one, but was unconvinced of the quality, will be buying it in a few days now.

I only partially understand English. Therefore question 1. you say in the video before you mounted the Wilkinson, did you mount shorter coarse gruce? Or something similar... Question 2. did you do something to the metal rods on the frets? Also sanded and then treated with metal paste? Thanks for a detailed answer... Good video in any case!

I used shorter grub screws so that they wouldn’t stick out as much from the saddles. I also polished the frets a lot, with fret rubbers and also the paste, but it was relatively easy because there were zero dead spots to begin with.

Most imports, Squiers and MIM Strats have a 52.5mm screw spacing and most Wilkinson bridges have 56 mm screw spacing, did it require any modifications to make the bridge fit?
