What I feel of Higurashi ED songs OG : Fear, anxiety, mystery, basically the theme of the OG; "maybe I overlook something fatal for me". POV can be from Keiichi, Rena, Shion, or Satoshi. Kai : Regret, sadness, and Rika questioning why our world works this way, why does crime and punishment exist? Gou 1 : Either Satoko or Rika's perspective, idk, but the vibe is more sad than fear. Either Rika's being helpless on how to deal with being looped again, or Satoko being helpless on how to return Rika back to the person she used to know. Gou 2 : Simply Satoko's anger, nothing more or less. Sotsu : I felt all of the vibes of the previous ED songs on this one. But with a hope that everything will turn up alright.
I just thought that the voice sounded familiar.. and it's Konomi Suzuki! She made the 1st and 3rd openings for Re:Zero, Decadence and other shows. She is fucking amazing

The beginning reminds me a bit of "DisCode" (one of the endings from the Umineko VN). Up until where it starts to pick up pace and goes up in melody. DisCode remains more serious (solemn? sublime? I don't know), whereas this song sounds a lot more hopeful. I haven't started Sotsu yet but I'm really curious, since this ending sounds like it's leading somewhere.
I feel like the visuals for Analogy were a little lackluster. Not bad, just basic and a bit static. I love this, but Irregular entropy is a little better in my eyes
I originally wanted to give Satoko benefit of the doubt once she became a looper... But now, she's beyond redemption. As long as she remains a looper, the pain will get worse. More so compared to Rika's case. She may have been heartless at times, but she had to slowly lose trust in others and act cautious around them based on how easily they become inflicted with the disease.
