Because us and Florida are about as good as the Chicago Bears when it comes to developing elite QBs. We can recruit them..But they all have had to deal with such a toxic and unprofessional environments with Sumlin and Jimbo-that inevitably would cause the whole team to implode each season under the weight of ridiculous expectations, hubris and egos, delusional fans, chaotic dysfunction, plain incompetence from the coaching staff, letting teammates sour against each other, and just hoping players develop on their own. I could go on forever. 😂 Just so glad we have Elko. He has a maturity and adult in the room presence we have sorely lacked over the past decade. He is also very even keel. Something tells me he probably is much easier to approach and seek advice from compared to the high pitched redneck whiner. Man we got taken for such fools!! There are two things that I wish were in this highlight reel for the gators. 1) Mertz getting the ball to badger who evades a tackle, spinning around and making it into the end zone. Wasn’t a touchdown because offensive holding flag on the play, but it was an otherwise impressive play that deserves attention 2) Lagway’s 4th down conversion right before the gators’ second touchdown.
