Another fantastic video. I used your gopro settings to get some awesome northern light time-lapse. Will you be doing e dedicated nightlapse video with the x4
Thanks! This ia an awesome video! went out today and tried some time lapse footage. I'm using Android instead and on 11k the colour options are not enabled unfortunately :( only filters.
Love this very helpful, I do have e a question, when it comes to recording w stargaze, with the northern lights, do you recommend keeping the white balance at 6500?
The fact you can do 11K on the X4 means after reframing the quality of the time lapses is great. I would say it is comparable to the Hero 12 and 13 after reframing.
I’m new to 360 and looking to upload to RUclips. I’m interested in uploading as 360 for more virtual reality/tourism. Can you upload this way from an iPhone or no because it needs a plug or something else to be added? If uploading via a laptop, do you need one with more memory or a better processor? I tried uploading from an older laptop and had a lot of white spark looking marks throughout.
Great question. Yes, you can export 360 degree footage from the Insta360 mobile app or the Studio app on the computer. This footage can then be uploaded to the social media platform of choice. Both memory and the CPU matter but for processing the video the CPU will matter more as long as you have at least a good minimum level of RAM (at least 8GB).
@@GreatDayForAHikethanks for replying. When uploading from phone, doesn’t it first save to iPhone photos/videos and lose the virtual option (ability for viewer to move around)? Thank you. V
Yes, my apologies. I should have been more clear. If you export and upload direct from within the Insta360 app the video should maintain the 360 degree option. If you upload from the iPhone camera album, it will not retain this.
@LasVegasExplorer I’ll have to experiment with this a bit more to say for sure. I am actually not certain if the file stays within the Insta360 app or if it is stored locally first.
I noticed you had one little blip there in the middle of something that got in front of the camera. How do you take out just one or two images before editing vid or exporting?
It's a shame we can't use insta 360 studio to stitch together interval photos and create a nightlapse. That 30 second shutter speed 72mp would be better than the 1 second nightlapse.
This could be done using Lightroom and mass editing these photos and then importing them into a video editing app and using the Insta360 reframe plugin and creating a time lapse but it’s a rather involved process.

Glad this is helpful. I recommend a white balance of 3800K at night. It is what I have used for all of my northern lights time lapses.
Awesome Video! Just got the Ista360 X4 this helped out tons! Sorry GoPro12 🤭
Thanks!
Awesome video, mines comes out jittery as if its skipping frames any idea why that could be
Thank you. Is this when you're previewing the video in the app or on a computer or is this after exporting?
@@GreatDayForAHike it's actually when I export the timelapse regardless of I export from the app or the desktop studio
how does the quality of the timelapses compare to gopro 12/13

@@GreatDayForAHike thanks for the reply. Awesome, I just picked up 360 x4. cant wait to try that out
I have a note20 ultra. It won't let me edit time lapse videos. Do I need to upgrade to s23 or ?

@@GreatDayForAHikeand when you upload from an iPhone, is there a way it goes direct to RUclips or it has to go to you iPhone photos in between?

I imagine it's easier to manually remove it in the editing process
Great video! So does increasing the speed of a time lapse in post make it a time lapse within a timelapse? 😂
Thanks! Yes, let’s call this a time lapse within a time lapse 😂

Yes, I am hoping this will be possible at some point. A lot of potential if this is made possible.
@@GreatDayForAHike Any idea how can we do that? I have captured around 100 interval photos photos.

It's so easy to do with gopro footage on davinci resolve, but the 360 footage is the problematic part.
