Wow, what a great find, and your description of this scene completely transported me into the image 🤩 But I can see myself also finding this completion process very challenging, especially with those piece shapes and muted color tones.
Greetings @thepuzzledmandy oh so nice to get a comment from you! Glad you were able to be transported too, it’s such a fantastic image isnt it! There's nothing like a history buff to describe an ancient scene. Your passion and love for the work come through in your words, and you convey them with great success. Many thanks for this historical tour. It was truly informative and captivating. As for the puzzle, it's just splendid. Such a beautiful image with so much interesting detail. A rare gem to find. Those crazy pieces are definitely challenging but you did a great job putting all together. 👏

Stunning image! I think a random cut is always more challenging. Great job working with such a limited color palette. The music went perfectly with the image. I think sometimes we get so involved in completing a puzzle that we don't pay a lot of attention to what is included in the image. Nice video.

Well that was some puzzle and thankfully no missing pieces. 👍 How exciting to find one of that vintage. Seeing that jogged my memory so I checked my puzzle list and found I had done two jigsaws with that type of cut. The Death of Nelson and The Battle of Waterloo, both about 350 pieces, and I have a date of 1973 for those. I think they were the only ones Waddington did as a scroll shape. If you google them and go to images you should come up with them from Flickr. 😃
