Morgan James just amazes me with her soul and voice. I was fortunate to see and hear her in Portland, Oregon in a small venue. I know next time she'll be coming back will be in a mega-venue/arena with ticket prices in the 3 figures. You go girl!
Yup, I agree with you, Mark. I saw her up close in Minneapolis at Dakota Jazz Club (two tables away from the stage - so exciting). A strong beautiful voice like this comes along very rarely. While I wish her (and her band) great success, I would hate it if it came to her doing only arena filled programs - and I sure can't afford three digit tickets times two (I gotta bring the wife!). The best way IMHO to listen to this type of band is in the small venues. If feels much more personal between you and the artist(s). Either way, I'm a life long fan and I'll be purchasing her recordings as soon as she releases them.

i am not a fan of covers, especially jeff buckley originals. this, however, is beautiful. i felt every line as i did when jeff sang this.

Kind of agree, this one didn't work. I think there are some songs that are untouchable. Nina Simone or Sting can't sing Jacques Brel to save their lives even though they are amazing singers.

this felt hollow like a cher rendition of a stupid pop song like some over produced mariah carey cover. Jeff's intonation made this song, his rhythm carried it.. all these awful covers should be deleted and you did the song and Jeff a disservice.
This is why NO ONE should cover Jeffs songs.......Just stop it.
