So, watching you has made me feel normal. For real, I had legit anxiety going back in to the classroom, and only to drop some things off. Tomorrow I go back to bulletin boards up and arrange the class. I get my strength from Jesus too...😊.😊😊
It's great to see your classroom set-up! You got a lot done!!! 🙂 The student seating layout looks awesome!! Is there a possibility of changing out those triangular desks, I don't know why people think those are great for classrooms. I have 6 long tables at both my schools ( 4-6 students per table) - I'm a traveling K-5 art teacher. You're rockin' it girl!!!
I also have the HORRIBLE triangle tables. I’ve not tried to do them this way but I may give it a whirl this year!!! Do you actually use your teacher desk? I got rid of mine about 10 years ago… I’m going into year 18 and I will never get another one… I found that I can work in one area and it opens up so much space!!!
Hi Mrs.Morse its olivia again and ill miss you in 6th grade i hope you have a good class and if you have somone named Emma Hampson shes my friend and shes the best! Byeee 💖-Olivia.Iannello💖
I have four triangle desks, 8 trapezoid desks that I make an s shape, one small oddly shaped table that seats four, two small kidney tables that I combine to make an s to seat 6. four tall/ standing triangle desks, two small trio table that I connect into one. I also have a huge teacher desk and a small group kidney shaped table. It’s so hard to arrange the furniture. I was so hot because I could not get the air to stay on and it was 86 degrees in my room and my four year old was there too. I have so many different types of chairs too. I changed the layout about 10 times.
Why would a studnet have to sit by you? Like what misbehavior would make that happen? Also if a student wanted to sit at the back table by you in that chair would you in general? Just curious please answer?
@@AMessyBunTeacher but wouldn’t you just have a desk and connected to your desk for a studnet that needs to sit right next to you? Also why is the chair at the back table not directly right next to you and it is on the side ? Please answer just curious .
Our school is a layout that is built for collaboration. The TVs are there if the students want to get into groups and project whether they’re doing on their computers on the TV. They don’t really use that feature. But we do do a lot of collaboration and it’s nice to have different points of visuals all around the room. It’s definitely different lol
This is already making me feel better a few minutes in 😂 the overwhelm paralysis is LEGIT. Thank you ❤️
“Had to double check with Jesus.” 😂 I feel you! The Lord has to lead me back to school for setup! 🤣
🤣🤣🤣

That’s a lot of variety for sure!
@@AMessyBunTeacher our district chose the future for us.
Hi 😊
Such an amazing classroom. I was wondering if it wouldn't get too loud doing partner work with the desks in a long row like that?
It's doable. The kids eventually learn which voice level to use. Sometimes, I have some partners move to the floor.
I’ve done rows before and they were the same noise level as any other groups 😆 they are all chatty 🤪🤣
@@AMessyBunTeacher I guess that is true 🤭
I don't go back until August 26th. Our last day was in June.
Best of luck to you on your new school year!
keep the timelapses up :)

I’m not a teacher yet but my daughter has ADHD and has an IEP that calls for her to sit next to her teacher sometimes to concentrate.
Some students want to sit next to the teacher and some students just work better without any distractions.

Why so many TV's? Ive never seen that 😁

You are in a middle school but is your 5th grade still self contained?
Nope! I only teach ELA! I do have math intervention which is why I have the math vocab cards 😁
Those desk were not designed by classroom teachers.
