I have a tomos flexer and yesterday I got my airsal 65cc and a dmp high compression head, but the exhaust I bought for it was for A3 and I think I have a35 so I am wondering what exhaust I should buy. I want like a ”sleeper” exhaust that doesnt get so much attension but at the same time have a good performance.
Could please somebody explain: This engine does not "breathe" with the help of a mixture-overpressure created in the crankcase, but looks to be naturally aspirated, like "normal" 4stroke-engines. Is it really possible? Shouldn´t there be huge disadvantages to aspirate a 2stroke "normally", without any pressure filling the cylinder with mixture? Where can I find something about such aspirated 2strokes ??? And does this engine (used to ) have a dedicated lubrication systen, unlike other 2strokes ??? Where can I find something out, without registering first in a 2strokes-forum? Thank you á priori for all answers!
@@MotoMouthMoshe Is that correct, that your air-intake leads directly to the cylinder, instead of the crankcase? I have already read a lot, not even the firm Tomos itself explains how that could be possible... I suppose this mode of function, if real at all, has many disadvantages: My 49cc cheapo china-4stroke used to reach over 70kph just through manipulating the variator-reach (3.2hp, 172lb for bike, and another 170lb for me)... A 70cc 2stroke like yours should easily reach over 100kph without any modification, and not only 69kph (43mph you said?)... I try to understand...
@@klausbrinck2137 My Tomos moped specifically has a reed valve intake setup, but not all are like this. Again, I think you'd be better served just reading up on theory of operation (plenty of material out there) rather than trying o figure it out here. The top speed of the vehicle is not a function solely of power, but also of weight, gearing, aerodynamics, etc. etc. so the scooter vs. moped comparison isn't really valid.
A 2 stroke oses the pressure of the piston going down to push mixture fron the crankcase through the ports and up into the cilinder, the pipes have these weird expanding shaped to provide backpressure because withour backpressure alot of the mixture would simply leak into the exhaust
I'm GPSing at 42-43mph on flat ground. I'm still fine tuning the jetting, right now experimenting between #74-76. Exhaust is of excellent build quality and looks great. I have nothing to compare it to except stock in performance though. I haven't tried other types yet. I do like the Estoril sidebleed and may buy one just to try.

Nice!
Whats that blue stuff you are putting on the intake manifold?
Loctite

Do you Changed a crankshaft or you ride this kit on clasic crankshaft
Stock crank. This kit is only the top end of the engine.
What bushing do you have to buy to fit in a stock crankshaft and that it also fits the 12 mm piston

Just research "2 stroke engine - theory of operation" and you'll get a bunch of material to study.

What is the correct ring gap? Great video by the way!
0.25 mm for this kit..
2:20 how did you drop the engine? Just remove one of the bolts?
Yes, remove front mounting bolt and loosen the rear.
Thanks a lot! I got it done :) Do you mind sharing the sprocket details with me? Now I have 26-24. It is alright but kinda slow when driving off.
@@maxbasener my sprockets were stock. I sold this thing 2 years ago so I didn’t record those numbers.
Can i put on TOMOS A3 SL
Yes
Got the same cyl, mine does that metalic sound aswell…. Is that normal? I‘m kind of worried. 😬
Never had a problem.
That is a normal problem for tomos, it is just your clutch, nothing to worry about and nothing to do about it.
Its the aluminium cylinder tinkeling
