Sorry if this has been asked already. When you do the little squiggles before flooding, which consistency are you using? The thicker (piping) consistency or the thinner (flooding) consistency? Thank you!

I sure do! I have a link to the recipe I use below thr video but I also make a few little tweaks to it as well. m.ruclips.net/video/3orMJXkKk5o/видео.html
Its the same recipe for both, but for florals you have to add a lot more powdered sugar to make the icing stiff. Here's the links to my recipe and the consistencies I use m.ruclips.net/video/3RrzUo3-RWg/видео.html ruclips.net/video/yeXuOiMc-E4/видео.html
Hi! I was wondering why you will pipe little squiggles in some of your designs (like in the leaves) and then fully fill in the design? Does it make it look puffier? :)
Thank you! The rectangle one with balloons I had custom made because I couldn't find one that size. A lot of the 3D cutter shops ca do that! So I asked for a rectangle cutter thats 2x4
You are so talented sorry to bother you but I have a question. When you were doing the balloons and you did the Middle zigzag line to have it rase. Did you let that set a little bit before you add the filling . Thanks
I do the little squiggles so the icing doesn't crater or cave in, sometimes in smaller areas the icing caves in and makes a hole so this helps so it doesn't happen. I use thicker icing and don't let it dry.

Mesmerizing videos. Thanks for all the tutorials. Dumb question though, I know you cover your unused icing with damp paper towels when between bagging. Do you just set your piping bags down when you're jumping between colors? Nothing special, you can set them aside? Do you just cover the tip of the piping bag and freeze any unused royal icing? Attempting my first batch tomorrow and can't stop watching your videos :) Thanks!
Thank you so much 🥰🥰 no dumb questions (I've asked them all before 😊). While I'm working on my set, I have a damp paper towel (usually just use the same one as I covered my bowls with) and I set my piping bags on that. So I put the tips in the middle of it and then fold it over the tips, so half is under and half is over. It keeps the them from drying out or crusting over and if I have ones that have looser icing or a bigger hole then I'll squish the tip down under the paper towel. That way it stops it from making a huge mess! Hope that makes sense. And then when I freeze the leftovers, I squish the tips and push the icing as far away from the tip as I can and then I fold it upwards in small folds up to the icing and then put them in freezer ziploc bags!
Hi! Beautiful video as usual. I have a question as a novice cookie decorator. Are you using 15 sec royal icing and doing your outline piping and flooding with the same bag of icing or do you use two different bags with two diff consistencies? And what kind of bag are you using? I keep buying the one with the seams on both sides and I find that it prohibits the bag from forming a good open circle when it's a cut small.
Hi! I am using 2 different consistencies. Personally I prefer this way because I find it gives me cleaner designs. So my outline icing us pretty thick (I also use it for details) and my flood is probably 8-10 seconds. And you definitely want to use bags with only 1 seam and that are thinner plastic, because it gives you much better flow of the icing and it curls less out of the bag and also gives you a more round hole. I have linked a couple of videos here, one how I make my icing and at the end I show you how I make my consistencies and the other on tipless bags. I have links below the videos in the description to the bags that I like to use. Hope this helps! ruclips.net/video/L5mVKZnTqac/видео.html ruclips.net/video/Kpp8DWfQy0o/видео.html

Hi! I was wondering why you will pipe little squiggles in some of your designs (like in the leaves) and then fully fill in the design? Does it make it look puffier? :)
It's mostly to prevent craters which usually only happen in smaller areas so this helps. And it sometimes makes it a little puffier too!
Ah I see! Thank you :)
@@LittleCookieCo do you let the ‘little squiggles’ dry some before filling in?
