Great vid, very fun! This is exactly what I like to do with my friend, taste test all brands of things that we buy frequently. We've done tomato paste, canned tomato, soy sauce, some wines, and some teas. It's funny cause I agreed with your reasoning about focusing on creamy and salted, but then if I'm gonna go out buying, and I want crunchy or unsalted, I'm almost left with nothing after this taste test since possibly one of these could have been the best except for the salt level or smoothness/grittiness disqualifying it right off the bat. I guess I wish you would have revisited each of them and really dug into what was good and bad, since for some people those might not have been deal breakers. Edit: I also wonder about a homemade PB, could it compete, given all the work added?
Another comment, you would think they’d put peanut butter in a Tupperware style dish so it’s easier to extract from the container!!! As not everyone wants to dirty a spatula to get everything out!
@@blenderbenderguy They can make a glass plate similar to corningware, where I support glass. I have friends and relations with guys that work at a glass mill! Where I never seen dirty soot blowing from their stacks. Like plastics they undersold glass, now we pay more and it takes forever for plastics to disintegrate, where as in the 70’s, coke bottles, beer bottles, you could collect them and get some change to bring in to be reused! Now all these breeders carrying AIDS and such, maybe they can’t sterilize them well enough. But recycling, remelting can surely kill diseases of the profane! Again, I knew people where that was their living, where the hell with plastics! Plastics are made from crude oil anyway, glass is from the crust of the earth and I suspect there’s patents out there to make glass production more efficient! Make it using earthenware would be good too!
That was fascinating, thank you! I’m happy that I had switched to Smuckers Natural Peanut Butter but I didn’t know what the difference was between that & the organic version. I don’t mind that’s it’s not entirely smooth. I have arthritis in my hand & it is so difficult to stir the peanut butter though. I just informed my husband I won’t be buying him Jiff anymore, he has to switch to my peanut butter 🤣
Do one on mangoes! I was told there’s a delicious mango from India called an Alphonso! I had tasted great mangoes, but then they quit carrying them and started stocking the unripe types even ripened can’t compare where they’re not worth the money!
Once Again was the best seller out of 4 or 5 we had at a co-op grocer where I worked for years. Bummer on the snafu! America's Test Kitchen tested that crank and gave it a full recommendation.
Nicole, I wonder if I can get the Peanut Butter in my country, South Africa. We generally buy Peanut Butter made by a company called Black Cat, and they come in bottles or jars. This company claims that Black Cat Peanut Butter is free from any preservatives, but I don’t know if that’s true. Any advice, please?
I have the stirring tool in question - just recently purchased and the there were only a few left at the time. But I've seen it sold for years so they'll make more It's a good buy. Easy to use, easy to clean, and gets the job done. I definitely recommend it.
My all time favorite peanut butter was from a health food store. The owner would fresh grind dark roasted organic valencia peanuts - about half still had skins on. OMG...to die for - I've never tasted a better peanut butter since. Unfortunately, the owner retired and closed up the shop with no one willing to buy the business. Anyhoo...enjoyed your video! Be well - many blessings!
@@TrueFoodTV At the time, had I known the lady had no 'buyers' for her business, I'd have tried to work out a solution for ownership. It was that peanut butter that kept me returning. Oh well...
The best peanut butter I’ve had was in school in Louisiana! Outside school, they had a store that sold black and white label of everything! No colorings to equalize the colors, or mixing of other butters to equalize colors! B&W label just said in bold letters, PEANUT BUTTER! Where it was dryer, which mixed with Karo syrup, the consistency came out thicker and better. Then the Asian grocer has a bucket of peanut butter that I preferred over regular standard breads! Dehydrated peanuts, could they make thicker peanut butter so it mixes thick with jelly? I like Goober too! It mixes well, not as good as schools, but.
Kraft has a natural peanut butter that is just peanuts and salt it is okay. I like Adams peanut butter. I remove it from the jar and mix it as i find it stays mixed better
Yes it is owned by Smuckers since 1998. Sadly we have few brands in my local stores. Prior to covid we had more choice but since then we are lucky if the stores offer even one type outside their own brands.
I love you but the best fat for you is saturated, Lard and real fat is the healthiest fat for you. Yes, seed oils and the majority of most olive oil sold is evil.
Yes, I've witnessed firsthand the devastating effects of palm oil plantations in Borneo Indonesia and the plight of the orangutans left homeless and often slaughtered and the babies taken as amusement pets.

Thanks Nicole, just ordered two of your top pick! You do great work!!

Thank you ever so much, Nicole. ❤❤❤

Amen to that, though I'd prefer it were a glass vessel that could be used once empty. Glass good, plastic bad!

Great video Nicole as always! I would love to have you on our Let's Get Growing! Show for a featured guest interview about your gardening journey?

Yessssss 👏
Put the PB in the refrigerator after stirring. It won't separate.
Smucker's Organic has always been my favorite & will continue to be. Never seen a kitchen counter that clear before!

MaraNatha is the favored in this household. Both creamy and crunchy. The consistency is fine because we like it on bananas slices.
CRUNCHY...... YES!!!
🙌
CB's Nuts is natural and no stir. They have a special blending method that's cream-crunchy so it doesn't separate.

We really prefer unsalted, you can taste the peanut flavor more. Teddy is our usual.

Wow, amazing memory! Wish I could try that PB!

I love this channel! thanks, Nicole!
Smuckers is great, and at a reasonable price, too. And the local Acme I shop at just stopped carrying it. Grrr.
I use an immersion blender on natural pb to mix it. Saves your wrist ;) if the jar is full, you'll have to scoop some of the more solid part out first
That’s my favorite too! I enjoy the crunchy and the smooth.

I think Adams is the same as Smuckers? Just sold in different parts of the country... Could be wrong, but they are definitely owned by Smuckers.

I need that tool. Maybe you sell your own?
Yep , Smucker’s
Team crunchy here
I prefer smuchers over Teddie. I thought Teddie was too pasty.
152 views, it’d help the lovely lady if you’d simply gives a thumbs ups! Think about her please!
Crunchy plz

TJs is low priced as well.
YES! Please test crunchy peanut butter too? It’s at least 10 times tastier than the pedestrian smooth version.
