  • Hey you guys! I am a first time mom of a 6 month old babygirl. I have been going crazy trying to decor her nursery out and I figured since she doesnt have a rug why wouldnt I make one myself. I came across this diy project from pinterest and i got inspired. I know people have used toilet paper rolls to help them make the pom poms but i wanted to use my hands. I thought it would make the process go faster and easier. The colors i chose for this pom pom rug go perfect with her crib set which is pink, white, & gray. I loved how it came out and im considering making one for myself. lol I hope you guys enjoyed this diy.
    THINGS YOU NEED:
    -Yarn (ac moore arts & crafts)
    -Scissors
    -Crochet Latch Hook (local beauty supply)
    -Non slip grip liner(can be found in a dollar store)

    As a person who works with yarn a lot, I would just like to say you should always use the end of the yarn from the middle. Just some advice for next time

    • @achluophilic

      What does that mean? (Never worked with yarn)

      Huh?

    • @katiekah-souder2023
      @katiekah-souder2023 4 года назад +1

      achluophilic it means the end of the string that’s in the middle of the ball rather than the end of the string that is visibly on the outside of the ball of yarn, sorry for the confusion!

    • @arlethramirez9702
      @arlethramirez9702 4 года назад

      Katie Kah-Souder why what’s the difference

    • @katiekah-souder2023
      @katiekah-souder2023 4 года назад +1

      Ale13 it actually prevents tangles and it ensures that the balls stays a ball and does not unravel all the way. It just makes it easier and simpler to work with! Most knitters do this lol

      Harriet Curnow could ways use this mat idea, then sow onto a pet pillow, or for easy clean attach a button to one or the other so it can come off and be washed. Or trim down a cardboard box, pop holes every so many inches, tie pompoms like you would if it was the mat, then hot glue fabric to out side of box to cover the knots from the pompoms. (or pompom the out side too!!
