Extremely fair review of my hometown, thank you for making this video so I can see all the changes that have happened since I moved 4 years ago, so excited to get back out there and enjoy the new amenities
I dont even recognize Gondola Square anymore. The huge headquarters building surrounding the gondola is gone and the new buildings dont match what was there. Hopefully when its done it is an actual improvement. I recall big bathrooms at Thunderhead just a 10min gondola ride up. Once they installed the hi-speed quads(in 1992) at Storm&Sundown the mtn became a cruisers dream. Stay on those 2 now 3 including Sunshine lifts for all intermediate&advanced skiing. I've rode all over the state (sans Aspen&Winter Park) and The Boat is my fav for upper mtn simplicity and ability to get in huge amounts of vertical in 1 day. Returning to the base area on the other hand is a bottleneck that displayed a poor choice of base village layout. Theres resort development where there should be a ski run for more ski in ski out mid rise lodging. That might be partly why the redesign? Nice video Raiko, but I'm shocked to see a roller coaster there. The only winter frills should be on skis there.
that is a great question - here is what I found : Saddleback Ranch's Yee-Haw Tubing Hill. Saddleback Ranch is located just 20 minutes from downtown Steamboat. Shuttle pick-up and drop-off is at the Gondola Transit Center on Mt. Werner Circle. Please arrive 10 minutes prior to pick-up as the bus will not wait for late arrivals. Look for the Saddleback Rach bus at Lanes 1, 2, or 3.
I thought the accommodations at the Grand hotel were great. Nothing to complain about. However, when things get busy, make reservations at the restaurants, even the one in the hotel. At the resort, I just dealt with the ski rental place and they were professional and very helpful
😅 .... green slopes ?..... u must be confused with the potheads who ski there 😮 ..... but yeah, really a truly great (high intermediate) skiers' mountain.
This was the ski resort I grew up with. Brings me so many memories.

How’s the quality of the accommodations in Steamboat Springs; and at the ski resort?

steamboat is my love but your right about the pottys
What was the name of the hot springs that everyone liked?
Strawberry Springs
There are a few restrooms at the base, he only found the difficult ones ... lol...
Sucks they don't have a base lodge where you can put on your gear , really sucks !
Cat track ski resort
