Hey y'all! We hope you enjoy this visit to Quintana Beach County Park. We look forward to visiting again when the weather is better. We'll be posting a write-up on our website with more information on the park, so watch for that! Have you ever visited this area? What do you like to do when you're down this way? We've started building our new Interactive Travel Map to help you find places to visit in a more visual way! Visit rvtexasyall.com/travel-map to check it out.
Hi Y'all, Thanks for the great videos and the Galveston area recommendation you emailed us. We will do our first Winter Texan month or so in the Galveston area. Doing Stella Mare, Galveston Island and Quintana for Jan and Feb. Wanted Jamaica Beach but they had no room. Really looking forward to meeting the good people of the Galveston area. See ya' on the road Eh! Thanks again.
Thanks for the tour and the history y'all! Many Upper Texas Gulf Coast visitors are like me. I've been to the Surfside/Follets Island and San Luis Pass side of the Brazos but never visited the Quintana side. I've spent many hours fishing on the Surfside Jetty along with dozens of other fisherpeople next to me and looked across the channel to see only a handful of folks on the Quintana Jetty. Brazoria County has another park with RV amenities and cabins. It's over and down Follets Island at San Luis Pass called San Luis Pass County Park. It is a big favorite of bay fisherman. Easy access to wade fishing and a boat ramp that is convenient to endless bay fishing hot spots. Great kayak fishing too!
Thanks Tom! You should check out the Quintana side one of these days. 😁 We went over to take a peek at their San Luis Pass Park. Looks like they get great sunsets over there!
@@rvamericayall I retired as Exec. Director of The Center for the Arts Sciences. In front of Brazosport College: bcfas.org. Science museum, planetarium, two theaters, art gallery and studio. Over 15,000 sea shells on display. Next time thru, give us a shout. We'll show you a good time! Love y'alls channel and following your adventures. Thanks!
We love parks that have a designated area for hooking up toads. Aren't Yield signs inverted triangles? That is the designated shape across the US. Unlike many RVs, Newmars are built with insulated slides so pulling in the slides doesn't help with warmth so much. We bought from them because we wanted a true 4 season RV.
Very beautiful place indeed. I love fog, rain and wind anytime but especially by the ocean. I and I’m sure others appreciate you taking the time to do this voiceover so we didn’t have to get frustrated trying to hear you through the wind. It’s a first time experience for me and I watch a whole lot of youtubers. Thank you for another very enjoyable video.
What a lovely park.. I dearly love the ocean. I lived 10 years in Cayucos and Morro Bay on the central coast of Calif. I lived in a cyn.7 houses from the water.I love the ocean and woods.I will watch you guys on Wed. Enjoy
As luck would have it, I actually had reservations there, last week. I was supposed to work at the plant across the street. I was there only Tuesday for training and had to report to the office in Houston, but I did call and cancel my reservation for Site #4 , near the entrance. It was FOGGY Tuesday. Great people and look forward to staying down there.
We met a few other folks who worked at the plant who stayed there. Very convenient to the plant. Hope you get to stay down there. You will enjoy it. The fog has been crazy!!
Great review of the park. I can’t wait until Riverside Park in Bay City re-opens. It’s another good place on the Colorado River. It’s cheap like 25$/night for full hook ups. Not sure about 50 amp though. Hope you guys are having fun. Take care.
We visited in the dog days of summer last year. Even with the RV park almost completely full the beach area was relatively uncrowded - you felt like you could find a space to be by yourself. Love this park. We have reservations for this June.
Another awesome video! This county park is real nice. Such wonderful views. Don't worry about the wind and the rain, your video was perfect. You did an awesome job. I love that you provide such good information for all to see and have. Thanks for taking me along. Safe travels to you.
Your RV is so beautiful. Really nice county park your at. Reminds us of Jetty Park here in Florida. You can watch all the big ships, cruise ships, we even saw a submarine going up and down the jetty once. Thank you, Thank you, for sharing another beautiful location with us. Just added to my Texas bucket list. We also have slide toppers. Haven't had to bring in yet on breezy days, but boy do they like to make noise on windy days. Ours makes the squeaking noise. OMG! That mosquito warning sign was hilarious. Looks like a poster from a mutant bug horror movie. LOL! Really nice park. I especially like the benches on the point looking over the water. I bet the sunsets are spectacular! Your glampsite is really nice too! Such a well maintained place. Really neat to see all the creatures in the main building. What a fun exhibit. Thanks for bringing us along and sharing your day with us. Have a Glamperrific Day! 👍😀🌈🤪🌈😎🌈😍
Hi guys! Thanks! We really enjoyed our time at Quintana Beach. It has changed tremendously over the years, but the county park is a really nice little oasis off of the beaten path. We loved watching the ships pass by. We really wanted to film one passing by from the jetties, but the weather just didn't cooperate with us. Gives us a reason to go back! We didn't mention in the video, but the park offers monthly rates from Oct thru Feb!
Thank you for this great video. I really enjoy this kind of video because it gives me ideas to add to my bucket list. Y'all are great. Give Star a hug for me, what a great dog.
Awesome video guys! So happy to see you on the road doing RV Park reviews. You guys really shine with these reviews. Keep up the great work! I think we’ll have to visit this area.
Thank you guys for another great video, love the fact you can see the ships going by, extra bonus! I will have to consider going there myself, I am currently in the Brownsville area, Winter Haven Resort, in my Tiffin 31SA Love the history lesson, brings it to life..... Great coverage of the area ! Thanks again Guys History really brings the area to life. Good job ! Take care Don
Hey Mark! The beach here was clean while we were here. They have a fishing pier on one end and you can fish from the jetties on the other end, so a lot of folks come down this way to fish. It gets busier during birding season and warmer months, but we had the beach pretty much to ourselves. We look forward to going back when the weather is better. Doh! We didn't look in the cabins... we should have! Next time!
Looks like you had your coach washed between destinations? How do you plan on keeping it looking like new now that your full time? Weathers not a big an issue when you full time, just another day unless it's dangerous!
Hey Scott! The rain helped us out with that. But we carry supplies to wash it so that we can keep it clean (when we are staying somewhere that allows washing).
I used to put rain gear on and wash my vehicles in the rain, just the one I wasn't going to drive for a few days. You get spot free rinse from mother nature, might give it a try if you don't mind people looking at you like your crazy!@@rvamericayall
Stacie, I don’t know what your profession is, but you should be a historian. Your videos are so interesting. And Tom, you were brave to hold that leg less lizard. It looked too much like a snake for me.
For those that prefer boon docking, the beach on the other side of Surfside (across the jetties) is free. Just be careful, or the tow from getting stuck in the sand can wipe out the savings!
Can you list the Jeep rack parts? We are looking for a motorhome and thought we would need a 4 door Jeep to carry our 12’ kayaks. What length are your Hurricane kayaks? Thanks.
Our Hurricane Kayaks are 12'6" long. We've had our rack setup since 2015. Don't remember the manufacturer of the steel frame we have mounted to the Jeep. We would have bought it from 4 Wheel Parts, 4WD, JC Whitney or Quadratec. The kayak specific rack parts are Thule. We've been very happy with the system.
RV Texas Y'all have you weighed your Jeep as it’s set up ready to tow. Looks like the frame is only available with the JK version we were looking at 2018 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sport at a dealer and subtracting the carrying capacity on the door label from the GVWR is was 4450lbs. 2019 version 4550 lbs. Looks like Tiffin is dropping the Breeze 31 for 2020 model year and keeping the 33 and introducing the new 33al with the 340/2500 on a Powerglide chassis with 7500lbs towing without affecting carrying capacity. Where do you get Powerglide service in Texas?
We get service at Cummins. We had heard that Breeze production was changing, but we hadn’t heard the details. That is quite the change! We have a weighing video coming up in the future.
Hi Ramon. We are not the park, we just stayed down there. They rent RV spaces. Here is their website for more information: www.brazoriacountytx.gov/departments/parks-department/quintana-beach/rv-tent-camping

Awesome Michael! Safe travels and tell them all we said Hi!
Try to plan your next visit with the butterfly migration in the spring and fall. It is unbelievable.
As a Brazoria County resident....thanks for the glowing review!! Thanks for stopping by!
You’re welcome Frank. They do a great job with the park.
Very peaceful looking stop. Thank you
That is a great way to describe it, Jeff!

I always look for state parks... I am going to start expand my horizons with county and city parks! Great video guys!
We have only recently started doing that. There are some great parks out there!
It's a nice "hidden" place to go.
Just a few blocks from the bird sanctuary also, which is nice to walk through, especially during migration.
We agree! We'd like to visit again when the bird sanctuary is open.
Nice, Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it, Doug.
Love it. Keep them coming please.
Thank you Vernon! We will.
Hey guys! We are right up the road in Lake Jackson. Hope y'all had fun.
Hi Orren! We hope to spend more time in Lake Jackson next time we’re down that way.

So true Norman. Glad you enjoyed it.
Good video showing how sweet the RV is!
Thanks! 😁
We're thinking about this park thanks for sharing just subscribed have a good
It’s very peaceful, thanks for joining our journey! 😊
I hadn't thought about bringing in the slide for better insulation before - we'll have to keep that in mind. Love the yield sign - that's hilarious!
We’re learning as we go! 😁 We’re happy we didn’t see any of those giant mosquitos! Lol

It really is a hidden gem!
Another great review! When the ships are pulling out sometimes you will see dolphins escorting them out to sea.
That would be awesome! 🐬

How do you guys acquire the constant flow of change/coin you need to do laundry with those coin operated machines?
