Seinfeld knew how to craft for laughs and could win every audience, consistently, never lose, laughs per minute, any city, any demo, talk show, corporate, LA clubs and for decades. Like Leno, you can dislike it for yourself but that's nearly the ultimate definition of success and non-sucking material. It works every single time with every single audience.

That's an interesting opinion. I like his self-confidence, his belief that what he does is good. I like that, to me, he appeared to know his limitations as an actor, ("A good man knows his limitations", from the Dirty Harry movies, is my guiding principle) and never tried too hard to be anything more than he could be.
