Lovely, as always. When we first went along the Caldon Canal in the 1980s, the section in the Potteries was still in use commercially for moving ware between factories and/or warehouses!
Love how you blend scenery and history with a bit of human interest in your travel vlog. And the humour is delightful! I started with the intention of watching all of your vlogs in order, but fascinating titles keep popping up, so I’m jumping all over the place and enjoying it thoroughly. Guess once I’ve viewed them all, I’ll just have to start from the beginning again. 😊
Your timing is perfect again. You always seem to drop Wednesday's video, just in time for lunch. Make mom happy! My son would never hear the end of it he was near High grove didn't visit and take video for his Gardner mom.
Hi guys yet again a brilliant video. You will have to try jaffa cakes and ice cream. We got our first boat 12 years ago, 3 boats later and we still enjoy it, we will never live in a house again. Keep it up can't wait till your next one, we went to middle port potteries and enjoyed it.
You earned your thumbs up in the first couple of minutes. I liked the discussion about whether to see the pottery. Too bad it didn't work out. Only 2 1/2 more years?!? Good lord, time to start planning your next adventure. You could cruise over to Belgium or The Netherlands. Perhaps France. They must have rivers and other waterways.
Much enjoyed, thank you. Although the suggestion that you would not be on the boat forever scared me. 😂 What would the world do without Michael's comments.
Hi guys another great video if you are going to the movies I saw Ange has fallen I thought it was a great movie if you are thinking of seeing something happy and safe boating cheers Barry Sydney Australia 🇦🇺
HI guys great vlogs,im in stoke and use the canals alot to get here n there and i always read the boat name.....i saw you passing etruia a few wks back but didnt actually no you then(feel i know you now lol) but if you need any info on the area ..inside info on anywhere or just where to go what to do just ask....you were moored up not far from festival park some handy shops down there....or bowling ...lol
I'm not sure if the "two and a half years" was said out of joy or more of a life sentence. lol. Either way, another enjoyable video. Thank you so much Take care and God Bless, Paul from Florida.
More low bridges! Silly bridges! Loved this episode, i know country scenes and rolling meadows are great and all but i do enjoy me some industrial architecture porn. I think thats what draws me to channels like yours! Another awesome vid, you guys are rapidly becoming my fave narrowboating channel, just don't tell David over at cruisingthecut ;)
Heh. It’s a small round cake, about the size of an Oreo cookie, but with a sponge with orange marmalade on top and an overall chocolate coating. Apparently the ones by the original manufacturer are quite good... I believe I tried an inferior knockoff. M
@@MinimalList I think I might have tried something like that. Did it look a little like the old movies showed flying saucers? Two saucers, one flipped upside down over the other one? It actually doesn't sound that bad. orange marmalade with chocolate. Don't know if you were bought up with them, Micheal, but Jo, you should easily recall the Jaffa lollies of our Aussie youth. A taste from the memories.
I wonder how the world would treat the Potteries, if it still had all the Kilns running like in the olden days, with the issue of climate change today? another lovely video
Michael, you don't like Jaffa Cakes? I'm not sure how I feel about someone who doesn't like Jaffa Cakes, how is that even possible? If you decide to reform, Aldi own-brand JCs are worth a look. The biscuits are a bit smaller, so the chocolate-and-orange to cake ratio is better.
It’s neither balls nor murders I’m afraid... best we can tell it’s meant to be a Thames Waterman’s registry number. Apparently down south (where this boat was commissioned) there’s be an extra number prominently displayed to indicate you were allowed on the Thames temporarily. But that’s still just a guess. M
Lovely, as always. When we first went along the Caldon Canal in the 1980s, the section in the Potteries was still in use commercially for moving ware between factories and/or warehouses!
That must have been great to see! Such a very rare sight now!
Coffeed up, and watched Michael and Jo. Perfect start to the day.
Enjoy! M
More great music from Dan Lebowitz, thanks for posting the cite. Nice to see a family enjoying the canals.
Thanks! M
Thanks for a greatly vlog Micheal and Jo...
Thanks for watching! M
Of course we had to buy something at the Emma Bridgewater shop especially as my ‘Mum’ mug got broken and had to be replaced!
Thanks guys for the video -love the bird in slow motion.
Been trying to get that shot for a while! M

thank you for all your work in making these videos. They great to watch and rewatch. thank you.
Thanks for the kind words, it’s appreciated!
Lovely cinematography in this one, thanks for taking us along.
Thank you, thanks for coming along! 😊
A very pleasant cruise and scenery , thanks gang . All the best and cheers from OZ.
Thanks! And cheers back! M
Another great vlog nice to meet up with some viewers...thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching! M
That bird taking off in flight was well caught. Looks awesome
A little over export but I’m just being picket! Fascinating birds aren’t they
Looks like you had a great extra crew. Great vlog too. Thanks.
Yep, they were a huge help! M

Hope lunch was good!

Wow, three boats! Well done! M
Thanks for another great video. I do laugh sometimes at what you do. And the silly endings.
Thanks! Hopefully not TOO silly! M
I'm following all the time now, but I've really enjoied the last few videos because you are on my patch!
Thanks! Nice patch! M

I’m up for cruising the world! Hopefully in the next 2.5 years we figure out how to fund it! M
Much enjoyed, thank you. Although the suggestion that you would not be on the boat forever scared me. 😂 What would the world do without Michael's comments.
Shockingly I think the world can get along fine without my smartarsery... but don’t worry, quite a ways to go before the end! M

Haven’t seen the others in the series ... feels like something I should know the thorough line of. Might have to look for the old ones! M

Ooh, bowling! Thanks for that! We’ve since moved a bit further on out of the area, but local knowledge is always appreciated! M
Good evening belgium, I love your videos, and your beautiful shots, I subscribe now
Thanks, and welcome! M
Canal time. You might push on tomorrow or the next day or just potter about for several days, as an alternative spelling of putter. Potter on.
Looks like you've picked up some new hands.
I'm not sure if the "two and a half years" was said out of joy or more of a life sentence. lol. Either way, another enjoyable video. Thank you so much Take care and God Bless, Paul from Florida.
Bit of both really! M
A lot better than the last boat you met with in the last video.
Yup! M

We’ll be quiet, promise! M
How can you eat only two jaffa cakes? I can't stop until the whole packet's gone. Not that I'm all that keen on them though...
Heh... well to be fair the kids were eating most of them, I got given courtesy cakes! M
Thanks, guys, another great video and just what is a Jaffa cake?

@@MinimalList :) It was a proper Jaffa cake.
cant vouch for how long it might have been in Freds pocket though :)
Hope all is well.

I can’t imagine they’d be very popular, though mainly for the choking fogs and dramatically decreased lifespan of those downwind. M
I’m sorry you didn’t go so the Pottery. I was going to ask if you saw Harry.
Heh, nope. Or Hagrid! M
Spookily, I was actually eating a Jaffa Cake when you started talking about them.
Heh! That’s a funny coincidence! Well, if you’re not one of those folks with a really serious Jaffa habit! M
@@MinimalList Don't worry, I have it under control. I can stop whenever I want to. 🙂

I might have to try the Aldi own-brand, just to confirm, but these ones were far too squishy for my liking! M
So was that a slip of the tounge two more years😎😎🙈
Not really it’s is just not something we had discussed so it was a bit of a shock to hear out loud!
@@MinimalList thanks for reply ,,i supose thats the down side of your adventure ,,your open to everything i do love following you ,,,,
I just tried my first Jaffa cake recently as well! 😂
Bit different, aren’t they?! M
Minimal List They are, but not too bad. I usually had mine with coffee... probably a sin, but 🤷🏻♂️😂 Id have them again if offered.
Did you ever tell why it says "1900" under the name of your boat?
My theory is that it refers to the boat's maximum capacity of tennis balls, George for the amusement of.
@@John_259 That's more sensible than my theory about the number of confirmed kills attributed to the previous owner.
