Thank you Michael, for the reference this performance of op. 31 is beeing for the classical guitat lovers and students. The study nr 11, in Fmajor, was one the of the first pieces that I have learned 25 years ago with the name of "Andante of 4 Notes" and still one of most beautifull pieces in my repertoire. Hugs from Mozambique!
Thank you for upload . I enjoyed your musicality and interpretation . The style of video allowing me to clearly see your technique was extremely helpful as I am learning op 31.
Woah, I'll be darned 😁! Was looing to continue Op. 31 and when I searched for an example you were the first result! Man 25k views, you should be at like 5k followers and 10k likes at this point, lol. Same thing happens on my review videos though, sadly. Anyways, this made for a great reference example.
Hey Josh! It's a great opus, hope you enjoy learning the pieces. Popularity on the internet is a bizarre thing sometimes... it's hard to know why, but some content gets a huge amount of attention and others stay relatively unknown.
I think that is true, though it's admittedly been many years since I've read his method... The (a) finger usually is the hardest finger to use and get a good tone with after all.
well done, sounds clean and perfectly executed BUT, in my opinion, you play too ''mechanically'' if you know what i mean... There are parts that should hit harder or smoother by modulating the tempo and volume between bars or parts in the songs, but since you play them like a metronome, the ''hype'' is missing, its emotionless
Thanks for your comment! Fair enough, I am not a very "emotionally passionate" performer ;) What's so fascinating about classical music is that different performers can play the same music, but in so many different ways.
Very very nice ! Thank you !
Beautiful playing! Solid performance

Very well done sir, your playing is very clean. Some a little fast (in my view) but they are open to interpretation after all.
Thanks for the comment Spencer :)
Hey I have the same shirt. Bluenotes!
Haha yes! Good spotting ;)
complimenti suono pulito. che corde usa sulla sua chitarra?
Grazie :) I use D'Addario Pro Arte Composite Core Normal Tension strings (EJ45C).
Nice instrument...what guitar do you play?
Thanks! It's a Douglass Scott spruce top. It has a nice clear sound
Very nice play! You play the guitar very well!! Can you play the op 35 By Fernando Sor?
I've played some of the etudes from Op. 35, but haven't recorded any. Maybe I'll record that opus one day! Thanks for the suggestion :)
have you partiture of it?
I downloaded the complete score from imslp
Ah so here is what I came for! So it’s a total of 24 etudes in progressive difficulty. I see.

Michael, what guitar are you playing ? Beautiful sound.
Is it true that Sor played mostly without using (a) finger in right hand?
I think that is true, though it's admittedly been many years since I've read his method... The (a) finger usually is the hardest finger to use and get a good tone with after all.

@@MichaelBemmels you are absolutely right! Don't get me wrong, you play it beautifully!
I never liked Sor music because it was annoying, but I was wrong
Bravo!
