- A quick video of the growth rate of my CANNA Cleopatra & Musifolia. Bought just 2 of each just over 3 years ago. Just look how much they have clumped out, I will be propagating these next year to spread them out a little bit more.

Great growth, lush foliage mate. Hope your back is on the mend👍
Cheers mate, they have really surprised me this year, I always thought they needed heat, it's been wet and overcast most of summer. All good goin forward with them in the future. Yeah back is on the mend everyday doin more, little steps at a time, thanks for asking 👍
Thanks for sharing, if they grow that fast and are easy to look after I'm going to buy some for my garden next year, thanks matt
Thanks Noel, yeah super easy to look after in my opinion, if I can do it so can you. If you want I will sell you some cheap next year when I divide them if you live near Middlewich, Cheshire 👍
Great video, hopefully get a better summer next year, and a mild winter haha
Hopefully m8. Need a much milder winter than last year. Plus Hopefully next year we all will have a warmer drier summer, its been very wet this year
Hi , Dim here ^^ nice plants I love the colour, but I guess the leaves are weak against the frost? Like the Musa basjoo? You should give a chance to the Phornium, mine is big now after an harsh winter, I can send you a picture "after winter/now" if you want, it's my substitute to the cordyline.
Hi dim yeah as soon as the first frosts come they just go back to the ground. The colours on the Cleopatra really stand out against other green foliage plants. I did have 2 phorniums until last winter when they were hit hard. Dug them up in summer they died no new growth what so ever. Yeah cause you can send me pics mate 👍
@@mattsuktropicalgarden where can i send you the photo? Instagram? Seems your back still hurt you a bit, get well!
Yeah getting better with me back everyday day, keep pushing myself further and further. Send ur pics to my email. Matt5754@outlook.com
Be good to see pics of your garden Dim
nice video Matt, long time no speak.
Do you overwinter your cannas in place or do you take them up and keep them in pots?
cheers
Hello are you doing well, how has your garden come along this year. As for the cannas I just let the frost take them back to the ground, put some cardboard over the top and add old compost, bark over the top. Worked like a treat last year so know it works. I did a video on them where you can see the cardboard frozen solid but underneath everything was dry ish and zero damage
