A slow rebuilding of the line from Lynton to Barnstaple. Current line (2024) is from Woody Bay to Killington Lane. Beautifully cared for engines and stock.
A lovely and very well run railway on the bit they have. However the 'rebuilding the line from Barnstaple to Lynton' is not just slow but full stop. In the 5 years i've visited they haven't yet managed to open the second mile which would double the line and give them a second station rather than reversing in a field. I would prefer them to put all their efforts into this realistic target rather than pursuing the fantasy of re-opening the whole line.
