- This is Frank Meyer's reaction to watching NIGHTWISH - Ghost Love Score (OFFICIAL LIVE) for the first time.
Frank Meyer is the author of a number of books including On the Road with the Ramones, When the Wall of Sound Met The New York Underground, Van Halen: A Visual History 1978 - 1985 (Chronicle) & From Dude to Dad: The Diaper Dude Guide to Pregnancy. He is in two bands one called The Streetwalkin’ Cheetahs & the other one called Trading Aces. He directed the film Risen: The Story of Chron “Hell Razah” Smith and he worked as Sr. Content Producer at Fender Musical Instruments from 2016 to 2020. Tarja defined an entire new genre of music, Annette was a placeholder, Floor is the ultimate vocal facilitator of the genius that is Tuomas.
Near the end of the number the camera switches to the crowd and shows a group of young women, actually it is the second shot of the same group. In that group there is a larger woman who is caught in the moment with her hands in the air, head tilted back, eyes closed, and a totally rapt expression on her face. It portrays exactly how I feel when I listen to this.

Nightwish are one of my favourite bands, and Floor is (in my opinion) the best female hard rock/metal singer on the planet. Her control, range and versatility are incredible.

I went to see Nightwish in Nov 2022 in Birmingham uk, what an amazing night, best band I've ever seen live, and I've seen a lot of live bands.

17:34 I think the reason they stopped using pyro in "organ pipes" is that it may have overheated the synthesizers and could have disabled them. Moreover, the upper (and closest to the ends of the pipes) synthesizer that he uses is a very ancient Korg N364: Perhaps Tuomas didn't want to risk breaking synth, which is no longer produced.

Look closely at the pipes on the facade and you'll see a couple of bigger, more robust pipes that are squared off rather than tapered. Those were the pyro pipes which by this concert were no longer in use. I can think of a bunch of reasons why that would be a good idea.
God, I so miss KNAC. Especially when it was just a radio station. I still have my KNAC t-shirt that I bought in the late '80s.

Did he really say Gothic metal?😮💨 If this was very metal for him (with London symphonic orchestra) he really does not know what he's talking about. They can be more metal than Metallica or Pantera. So Symphnic metal is gothic metal. PLEASE....they play trashmetal, doommetak, power metal, folkmetal.

to Frank Meyer: Floor Jansen (the Valkyrie Goddess) stands just a tad under 6-2 in bare feet, and she's wearing 4 to 5 inch heels here....Tuomas Holopainen is the keyboardist, co-founder, leader, guru, composer, lyricist, arranger, and producer of 95% of the bands music....this entire show is on RUclips, under the title of "Showtime, Storytime"
Let's not get ahead ourselves here - Floor Jansen is 6 feet 0 inches (1,83 m) tall bare feet (this can be read in multiple places and also this height comes from her own mouth in interviews) - what ever hight heels she uses varies, still even without heels she was the second tallest one in the Nightwish band (Tuomas Holopainen is 6 feet 2 inches (1,88 m) tall)..
@kimmikke_ 17 inches? 12 inches in a foot. 6ft 17 in would make Tuomas 7ft5 in. He's about the same height as Floor
@@michelleponzio a typo, 1,7 inches or USA measures 188 cm is 6 feet 2 inches, 188 cm - 183cm = 5 cm, which is roughly 2 inches (1 inch = 2,54 cm), so no not even close the same height
