    ah Thank you So Much I wondered how the scale worked. Now i understand from your video great stuff !!! Also could you explain/show in a little more detail what the fence attachment guide is all about ?? I guess it's for small pieces of wood i still do not understand how to use that tbh?

      It's for if you use the fence on the other side

    Is your fence straight? Across the table from bottom to top there is a 2mm difference on mine. Seems to be on locking the fence into place the top part moves slightly. Also the Orange locking mechanism on the fence interferes with the work piece sometimes.

      Hi Jonathan, I found the same. Mine was towed out slightly away from the blade (on the right side) when I lined it up to the mitre track. You can adjust it slightly by loosening the two bolts at on the main clamp side and it give you a few mm tolerence either way. I found it easier to tighten the clamp slightly before undoing the bolts so it would stay in the position I moved it to and keep there when retightening the bolts. I just had to gently tap the oposing side with my hand to make the adjustment. Once I lined it up to the mitre slot, I moved the fence along the guide quite a bit and it seems to stay square in relation to the mitre slot. Just as an aside, the mitre guide from what I can see is junk. the guide moves up, down left & right and is only stable when it's attached to the sliding bed and has the work piece clamped. It's a case of reassembling everything to make repeat cuts. I hope the above advise helps you. All the best. Shane.

      Hey, I got it from James on the Evo Rage 5s facebook group. While it's easy enough to make if you have the relevant scraps laying about, and an hour or so faffing about, for the sake of £20 posted it made more sense to just purchase one. Great group though.

    I only want a table saw for ripping 3m wood into 1 inch sections for trellises. Is this the one or should I get a cheaper model?

    • @SamValiant
      @SamValiant  2 года назад +2

      I've had cheaper table saws from Titan and Clarkes and I can say this one is head and shoulders above those for quality.

      @@TheEssexSpurs Just to say, a zero clearance insert drastically improves this saw, as does have a dedicated wood blade.

    Is the zero tolerance insert difficult to make?

    • @SamValiant
      @SamValiant  3 года назад

      They are fairly straight forward for a competent woodwooker, I may do a video but there is some on youtube already such as Casual DIY's excellent one. You can buy them for about £18 and tbh it probably would have taken me a couple of hours of measuring and tweaking so it comes down to how much you value your time :) and if you have the material to hand.

    Hi, my left extension table is a bit below the table top... any idea how to raise it up?

    • @SamValiant
      @SamValiant  3 года назад

      Is the central bit flat? If so, loosen off the bolts that attach the side, theres a couple of mm worth of adjusts you can mate and then tighten back up.

      @@SamValiant terribly sorry Sam I meant the right extension. Brain hiccup. Its just a few mm but bothers me a bit. There is a play but I dont see any nuts to fix it. Saw a plastic thingy inside the ruler rails though. As for the left table, they are level.
      On a side note, I had fun adjusting the ruler after watching the video. Good stuff!

      @@SamValiant Ok got it. I hope. The spring rods on both ends serves as extended wing table lever adjustment. After adjusting, the wing now tighter. Also turned out the table top is too high! Adjust the 2 screws on the lever and voila.
      Now happy camper.
