One word to describe Mr. Valentino in my eyes is *Gentleman* which he is. And his eyes when he looks at you even in a film like this one you are his forever. I am 62 and Mr. Valentino has my heart and soul. Rest in Peace 🌹🌷

Dall'italia.

We are very lucky to have this film. It was lost for 80 yrs until a reel was found in Holland and carefully restored. This is sensitively scored by the way. Not typical silent film score and effects but very effective. Rudy and Gloria would have loved it.

My grandmother spoke of the huge crowds of people who attended his funeral; Valentino was adored by many in the 1920's and all mourned his early passing when he was still so young. Mention his name in 2018 and people still know who he is and the silent films he starred in.

Valentino and Swanson were good friends off the set. She knew him when he had his first house in Whitley Heights. He was looking for a bigger house and she told him to check out a house she had seen on on a hillside that was for sale. He saw it, liked it, and bought it. And he named it Falcon Lair. But he didn't get to enjoy it for very long. He moved into the house in 1925, and he died in 1926.

Ciao.

Isn't there anyone brave enough to eliminate the dam visit advertisements that are always in the way when you are enjoying something worth watching? It's ridicoulous! First it was a 5 second, now they last 14 seconds, one visit after the other. Sometimes 3 visits all one after the other. It's sickening! We shouldnt be forced to watch them if we dont want to. Hell!!

Valentino had total screen charisma. An undefinable quality.

Gloria doesn’t look good in this picture. Awful makeup or she didn’t sleep well. Never seen her like this. Valentino looks dashing though

This is the only part of this picture I've seen. I heard it wasn't very good and neither Valentino nor Swanson liked it very much. From what I've seen here, it's not very good. What a shame to waste two great stars.

One of Swanson's requests in her final years was to see this film. Of all of her films she could have asked for, this is the one she chose... So, no.
She never did get to see it again.

@@confusedwhale I'm really spoiled by today where RUclips is just a click away from watching anything.
