This is absolutely one of the best episodes, not only of this series, but of any television production ever made. Ebon Moss-Bachrach deserves every Emmy he has gotten for this show. Richie's arc up through this episode is so amazing, going from someone who is bitter and frustrated at the start of the series to confidence & reliability at the end of this episode is just so very wonderful. Also, shoutout to Olivia Colman who is just absolutely a treasure every time she pops up in literally everything, from Hot Fuzz to Secret Invasion to this show.
There's a reason this is everyone's favorite episode, including mine. I love Richie's character arc. When you start this series, you never think that you'll end up absolutely loving both Richie and Tina.
Go back to Richie’s phone call to Tiff from jail (S1-E8) for a possible answer as to what happened to their marriage. He acknowledged saying stuff to her dad that he shouldn’t have said; not cool insulting the in-laws. And from some Richie scenes in Fishes, I got a sense that he always isn’t honest with Tiff (the job from Cicero, him maybe not looking at a place for them). From frequent watchings I’ve found that pieces of characters’ stories are not presented chronologically & must be put together like a puzzle. Great show & reaction!
This is my favorite episode of the series. Seeing Richie actually take something serious and transform like that really choked me up. I felt so freaking happy for him.
If I had told teenaged me that a 2000s era Taylor swift needle drop would make me weep, I absolutely would have jumped off of somewhere tall, headfirst. And yet, here we are, crying openly at one of the most emotionally resonant scenes I’ve ever watched.
This is unquestionably my favorite episode of the series so far. It's just so good. Also, regarding the idea of a restaurant researching the people with reservations: I've watched a couple videos of real chefs/restaurant workers breaking down this show, and they're all like, "Yep, we absolutely do that at high end restaurants." So if you ever book a table at a Michelin starred place, just know that someone from that restaurant is probably going to be combing through your social media.
Absolutely adore this episode. It’s so satisfying to see Richie grow, especially after the frustration of seeing him be so negative and difficult the rest of the show. One of the best episodes of TV I’ve ever seen.
Great reaction and analysis of a great episode. Writers will study it for years to come. Many viewers HATED Richie going into this episode. I doubt many come out the other side of it feeling the same way.
my two favorite episodes this season are Forks and Honeydew. I think I like them both so much because they showcase two characters and their journey of self-discovery. I know many people praise Fishes (and rightfully so), but I will always call out Forks as a standout episode in season 2 because it took a character that I had found annoying up to this point and made me root for him wholeheartedly. I loved seeing him finally discover his purpose by showcasing the talent he has for bringing joy to people. that look on Richie's face after he delivers the deep dish to the table, watching their faces light up with joy, will forever be one of my favorite moments on any TV series ever. 🥰
You've finally seen the best dang episode of the show! And I'm glad you caught Chef Jess eyeing Richie, that's something a couple reactors seem to ignore.
It’s works much better with the context of the whole show behind it, but this episode definitely is an episode to show people to restore their faith in humanity and themselves.
This is the episode that made me love Ritchie man, who's actually good with people!!! Also Ritchie singing to Taylor Swift love story ❤❤!!! Great reaction Omn1 x
This episode never fails to make me tear up. Even just watching an edited reaction was enough. Those first, mysterious moments where you can't quite figure out what is going on. My eyes got teary immediately. The Bear has mainly focused on the back-of-house. But this was the first to focus on front-of-house, which is the area where I spent most of my career. And it captures the essence of what it was like at the best of those places PERFECTLY. I've never seen better representation of all that's great about the industry than this episode. (for the not-so-great...that's every other episode LOL)
The previous episode is the most jaw-dropping/tense/crazy-but for me, this one is the single best episode in the entire series so far. Just outstanding. Ebon Moss-Bachrach delivered a performance for the ages in this one.
I absolutely love the contrast between “every second counts” at the beginning of the week to after we learn the backstory of it it feeling like the most freeing statement in the world
since this came out before the awards season, pretty sure this ep skewed last year's Emmys/Globes win for Ebon even though the awards are supposed to be for his Season 1 performance.
An absolute amazing piece of TV... before this episode Richie always felt a bit like an enerving a**hole to me. But in this episode I fell in love with this character and I started more and more understanding what broke him, why he became such a bitter an frustrated man. The split of his family, the loss of his best brotherlike friend - he just lost his way, and this episode brought him back, made him gaining new hope and perspective. It brought me to tears, too... and Taylor Swift fits so perfectly here, just great!
I was so excited when i saw you were about to get to this episode. I have seen a bunch of different reacters see it and yours didn't disappoint. Keep being you, Omni.
In terms of his wife, in season 1 episode. 1 in the walk in he screams at Carmen about him being at the beef and Carmy not and he has the divorce lawyer bills to prove it. There are two conversations with his daughter, one on the phone and one where he is dropping her off at her mom's and the boyfriend is mentioned at that time. The only other hint is the phone call Richie makes from jail. If you go back to that last episode of season 1 you will hear the same actress on the voice mail. As far as I know that is all the back story until the bombshell that is the Xmas Fishes flash bang😊
Hey Omn1...wondering if you took requests. I've been showing my new roommate some of my old favorite movies...and it made me realize that very few RUclipsrs have reacted to War Horse. It's one of my favorite movies...and really...really spoke to me when I needed to hear the messages it was saying. If you've got any openings, I'd love to see you react to it sometime. But uh...yea...just thought I'd throw that out there.

The tears for Richie are so deserved. Loved this episode so much. Richie pausing singing to complain about people on the road is also so real 😂
This was recently ranked #37 (I think) on the Top 100 TV episodes of all time. ALL TIME.
Best episode ever, Ebon Moss-Bachrach was fantastic in this one.
There's a reason this is everyone's favorite episode, including mine. I love Richie's character arc. When you start this series, you never think that you'll end up absolutely loving both Richie and Tina.
This is my comfort episode of The Bear. I love it so much and while there are many other great episodes, this still is my favorite.
I think of this and ep. 8 as queen's we will rock you and we are the champions combo. Around here they always played them back to back on the radio.
This show just casually back to back dropped two of the best episodes of television ever made
Absolutely, 100% agreed.
I love how even carmy is like cuz what the fuck are you talking about

Best episode of the show. Brings me to tears every time.
I tear up every time I hear "Never too late to start over." I'm excited for my eventual restart in this life

This episode walks in beauty like the night.
These two episodes both anxiety inducing but for opposite reasons. One chaotic and one organization.
Great reaction and analysis of a great episode. Writers will study it for years to come. Many viewers HATED Richie going into this episode. I doubt many come out the other side of it feeling the same way.
The show does character episodes like no other.

My absolute favorite episode.

This episode is already amazing in so many ways, but as a Taylor Swift fan, the use of Love Story just makes it EVEN BETTERRRR
It’s works much better with the context of the whole show behind it, but this episode definitely is an episode to show people to restore their faith in humanity and themselves.
There’s a ton of episodes to beat. This is that one for me. Couldn’t have clicked any faster to your reaction.
This is the episode that made me love Ritchie man, who's actually good with people!!! Also Ritchie singing to Taylor Swift love story ❤❤!!! Great reaction Omn1 x
I could rant about this episodi for days. What a great piece of storytelling
THE BEST EPISODE

guy survived Review and Fishes...hes earned a Beef T-shirt lol
Purpose for Richie! 🖤 This episode hits hard man. It's a love story.
By far my favorite episode. To see Richie wake as incompetent loser to end up a fucking machine. One of the best character development I've seen!
The previous episode is the most jaw-dropping/tense/crazy-but for me, this one is the single best episode in the entire series so far. Just outstanding. Ebon Moss-Bachrach delivered a performance for the ages in this one.

I loved this episode
One of the best reactions of Forks coming from our boy Michael!
Forks and Fishes are the best episodes
Definitely my favourite episode of the show. So good.

This is absolutely my favorite episode.
Can you call it spying when all they are doing is looking at their social medias?
This episode inspired me and changed my life. Maybe more so Richies arc as a character
FINALLY ITS HERE!! I clicked so fast.

ive consumed so much tv in 2023, and i think this is 1/3rd of the best episodes from that year. other 2 are from anime (vinland s2, frieren)
A fine reaction to a fine episode. Thanks!
Those who watched The Crown knows the star power of the ep 7 cameo.
✨🐻✨
Can’t wait for you to watch next episode
👉Ebon Moss-Bachrach needs to be the next James Bond. SPREAD THE WORD!
Great reaction and great analysis.
best episode

Finally
Can you react to Terminator 2?
This was my favorite ep as well! I was looking forward to seeing your reaction to it.
