I am not sure how this all works..is there a way I could ask for advice from you without everyone seeing im an idiot?....Thinking of getting a second bass ...question woudl be...should i get a 5 string? I cant play 4 string very good yet?? so..getting a better quality 4 string? what make and model? I have a toby now...ok I guess...but think I should either spring for set up...ortry itr on my own..or upgrade to a more expensive bass?
I know this wasn't intended for me, but have you tried playing any 5 strings yet? some of their necks are pretty wide, make sure you try a few different ones out to find one that is a good fit your hands. My hands aren't particularly big, so I use 4 string basses- a newer fender jazz, and an 82 mockingbird, both have slim necks. I do tune B thru D, though.
