Making Wooden Combs

Making combs from piece of cherry wood. This is my first attempt at making combs and it turned out to be an interesting project. There is a lot that can be done to decorate a wooden comb, I have seen them with chip carving, relief carving and elaborate painting. I chose some easy line carving and fretwork for the combs I make in this video.

Nice job! Try a thinner scroll saw's blade, I think it is better for fret work

If you can make a comb, you can make a nice heddle for band weaving.
