O&K Escalator at The Natural History Museum

A O&K Escalator at the History Museum in South Kensington, London. Although the design around the escalator is interesting, the escalator itself is a bit boring as its too slow for its height - why the museum chose 0.4 ms I dont know. The O&K Kone in the Science museum next door to this is much better.

The escalator is slow since they expected visitors to be looking around at the display. When it first opened, the Earth model revolved around the escalator - but they had to stop it, as it was creating a vortex tunnel effect making people fall over on the escalator!
