Total agree on Shadows over Camelot. Love that game more than my toes, totally worth the rarity cost but would be so much better with a reprint and maybe some more expansion. It's based on such rich material.
I understand people disliking Cthulhu, but it does have the benefit of being public domain. So no risk of loosing access to the IP, which caused the death of the original Battlestar Galactica. But they can always do a "nearly IP-X," like Nemesis-Aliens.
Gunslinger, the GREAT Avalon Hill game. Decathlon, and Superstar Baseball, both by Sports Illustrated games. Coliseum. Gotta add Coliseum. And Ambush!, Tokyo Express, and Up Front. These are seriously old school.

I love Battle for Rokugan... it was also sorely missing one of the small box expansions FFG used to make (Horned Rat or Crown and Glory size). Just having more cards for the regions for variety really.

Great video. I still have my copy of Battlecars (it really opened my eyes to boardgames) and also have the "Battlebikes"expansion. If they ever reprint it I hope they will include the expansion. BTW: White Dwarf magazine also came up with a "Battlechairs" mod (basically, injured warriors would fight in armoured wheelchairs) but it was way less fun than Battlecars.

I'm thankful I bought my copy the moment it came out. Add to that the big Galaxy in Flames expansion with the Tyranids, Imperial Guard, Tau and Necrons I picked up a few months ago. Its amazing! I'm not sure what IP could offer a similar base setting. I had hoped Mantic Games might take it on with their Warpath universe. Maybe My Little Pony! 😉
Battlecars! I can't believe you know Battlecars. Loved playing that as a kid. I don't know if the gameplay would stand the test of time. Thunder Road scratches the same itch, but setup/teardown is a pain.
Great list. Really pleased to see Forbidden Stars make another appearance - stellar game. I'm actually in the process of printing off the 4 fan expansion factions with a 3D printer that I've borrowed. Taking ages but it'll be so worth it. My suggestion is Dogs of War. It's sort of a worker placement/area control game but functions like a tug of war between houses. Designed by Paolo Mori and produced by CMON so you know it'll play as good as it looks. I feel they've really dropped the ball on the reprints as you rightly highlighted Ethnos. Also turns out we own 6 of the games on your list so say we're doing pretty well with that. My brother even has the Merlin's Company expansion, but we've never played it. Apparently it makes the game even harder and we feel it's tough enough as is with a decent traitor.
Advanced Space Crusade needs a reprint and a modernizing/streamlining of the rules. I would also say that original Space Hulk with its expansions needs a reprint. So much crunchy coolness that the newer versions lost out on.
Would like to see a reprint of the Expanse Board Game. Missed out on picking it up and believe a enrichment of its components would make it a delight to table and play.
The few I think need a reprint are: Infinite City (an awesome "screw your neighbor" hour long type of game), Big Trouble in Little China - The Game (see the movie, play in the movie! Beautiful board!), The Republic of Rome (it was reprinted once by Valley Games, but then they went belly up), and the old Up Front game from the 1980s (a kickass tactical war game that is totally run with cards. There was an awful failed attempt to reprint it a dozen years ago, and you can get a print on demand version from WarGameVault, but it needs a full reprint with updated graphics)
I love your honesty. AA Anniversary is the best you’re right. Queens Gambit by Avalon Hill Star Wars is $600 now. I knew I shoulda have bought one 20 years ago for $40 new.
One last thing... Titan, the old Avalon Hill slugfest needs a reprint and slight redesign to update it for the 21st century. Such a great idea for a game. Such a unique set of mechanics.
If you're not tied to the setting, you can get something pretty similar with Shadows of Brimstone. It's basically a love letter to the original Warhammer Quest.

The Lost Valley of the Dinosaurs I'd love to see reprinted. Such good memories playing this game as a kid. The rules were not too bad but a reprint could spice up the rules a bit.
Five tribes could use a reprint. $90 on the second hand market is too much for what the game Is but $35 retail is just right. I found it at a local game shop for $30 and brought it to the forefront for myself. Or war of the ring. 3rd edition with a cleaner rule set would be very welcome.

Break the Safe was one of the first games I was able to convince my son to play with my wife and I. We played a ridiculous amount of it. I think I still have my copy around here somewhere. So, retheme to Battlestar Galactica I always thought would be fun--and no one else would enjoy--would be to theme it after the reality show Below Decks, where you are crewing a super yacht and need to cater to the needs of your high class obnoxious guests without the boat breaking down or drama swelling so high that morale is destroyed. The traitor is a crew member who ends up becoming a drunken self-destructive wreck as the game goes along. Out of print game I'd love to see reprinted? The original Ambush! Maybe modernized a smidge with an app or something to make it a little faster.

Totally agree with you on Memoir 44 I have collected everything outside of the bag and D Day Landings, they really missed a trick not reprinting that for the 80th anniversary. Battle cars is much simpler. Car Wars is great but got bloated. There’s another great GW road combat game called Dark Future. Maybe I’ll do a review of that.

Is Memoir '44 out of print? I checked some online retailers and they have a decent selection of the core and some (not all) expansions. Maybe it has less distribution outside of the US?
There are a few games from TMG's catalog that deserve someone to pick them up and reprint them. Exodus Fleet is at the top of that list. You can find it for $25 but still, someone should make a new edition with proper marketing and better overall graphic design. It's the best version of Puerto Rico you haven't played. Someone should beat Ryan Laukat with a stick for not reprinting Roam as well. I love Ryan but he gives his small box games zero love. Roam is a fantastic filler+ game that you can't find now for less than $80. So, no more sequels to Sleeping Gods or big narrative games, and give us strong, tight, mechanically sound little games. I'd say the same for Klondike Rush as well. ETHNOS DESERVES SIX NEW FACTIONS .... and Archegos Society isn't the same game AT ALL.
I think whoever owns the rights of Space Hulk: Death Angel is sitting on a gold mine, that masterpiece of a game frequently goes for 50 pounds, and god forbid if you want the expansions too... You will have to ask for a loan to the bank.
The thing I learned from this video is that I don’t have enough kidneys. I’d like to see them reprint Runebound Second Edition because I didn’t grab as much of it as I should have and third edition is bollocks. Definitely Battlecars though as I had this and gave it away to a charity shop. What was that Kenny Everett character? Oh yeah, Cupid Stunt.

I'd take Forbidden Stars rebadged. That would give them some room to make more factions. I'd also like to see the rules tightened up a bit, it can drag with 4 players.
I wonder if you could pull a matrix version of BSG where instead of two ships you had one board within the matrix fighting agents and one ship in the real world fighting the sentinels. Each round would pick one of these world and have strategy checks based on a unique mission (take neo to the oracle, defend zion, fight agent smith, etc)
Dark Moon is supposed to be similar to Battlestar Galactica although shorter play time which should be a good thing otherwise you will manage to get it to the table a lot less... With the racing games I would say that ThunderRoad Vendetta could be a suitable (and fun) alternative. Would Ready, Set, Bet be an alternative to the cycling game? And The Rich and The Good could be an alternative for Panic on Wall Street? I've heard some people say Shadows Over Camelot isn't as good as people rate it although I've never played it and gave up on trying to find it for a reasonable price.
I have been waiting for Shadows over Camelot. I guess they are eventually going to release Shadows over Brooklyn which is a retheming of the game but it has been years since I heard anything about that.
I want "The Dark Tower" to be reprinted. Not the "Return to Dark Tower" reimagining where they changed the game. I want a new printing of the original, or at least it to be available again in some way.

I think Renegade studios did reprint axis and allies anniversary edition. For myself, I would say Gears of War from Fantasy Flight. It is still one of my favorite co op games and captures the theme of the video game perfectly.
Off the top of my head Tide of Iron with the long eluded to Pacific expansion and some unit expansions. TOI>M44 & I really like M44. Confusion - the cold war abstract game from the 90s. Forbidden Stars - i own it with one of the later expansions but I still want it available for others. The original Sheriff of Nottingham, better art. Ankh Morpork with the Discworld theme. 6 Siege - one of the best games i've ever played but one of the most mismanaged kickstarters.
@BoardGameBollocks FFG official no, but the designer put the planned expansions into the public domain and etsy did the rest. The first expansion is Galaxy in Flames which adds Tyranids, Imperial Guard, Necrons and Tau. The second is Darkest Dawn, I Believe which adds 4 chaos Marine factions. The quality of the etsy stuff blends perfectly with the original game too. Bloody expensive though. That said, its been worth every penny so far

So I found Shadows over Camelot for 60 pounds on eBay and being a cheapo I gave him 50, which the guy took. Then when it arrived near mint in the box it had the Merlin expansion in the box. Worth buying the occasional old game used. Now if I could find Battlestar Galactica with all expansions in the box...

Forbidden Stars is getting a spiritual successor from the same designer. It won't be 40k... but it will be a serious scifi theme.

I played CW lots but never had the chance to play BC.
Loved to design the cars and arena maps.

Is Memoir '44 out of print? I checked some online retailers and they have a decent selection of the core and some (not all) expansions. Maybe it has less distribution outside of the US?

I still have battle cars and the expansion Battle bikes. Not got eh box anymore because we played it so much it essentially disintegrated.
There are a few games from TMG's catalog that deserve someone to pick them up and reprint them. Exodus Fleet is at the top of that list. You can find it for $25 but still, someone should make a new edition with proper marketing and better overall graphic design. It's the best version of Puerto Rico you haven't played.
Someone should beat Ryan Laukat with a stick for not reprinting Roam as well. I love Ryan but he gives his small box games zero love. Roam is a fantastic filler+ game that you can't find now for less than $80. So, no more sequels to Sleeping Gods or big narrative games, and give us strong, tight, mechanically sound little games. I'd say the same for Klondike Rush as well.
ETHNOS DESERVES SIX NEW FACTIONS .... and Archegos Society isn't the same game AT ALL.
I think whoever owns the rights of Space Hulk: Death Angel is sitting on a gold mine, that masterpiece of a game frequently goes for 50 pounds, and god forbid if you want the expansions too... You will have to ask for a loan to the bank.

The thing I learned from this video is that I don’t have enough kidneys. I’d like to see them reprint Runebound Second Edition because I didn’t grab as much of it as I should have and third edition is bollocks. Definitely Battlecars though as I had this and gave it away to a charity shop. What was that Kenny Everett character? Oh yeah, Cupid Stunt.

I'd take Forbidden Stars rebadged. That would give them some room to make more factions. I'd also like to see the rules tightened up a bit, it can drag with 4 players.
I would like the ICE, The Fellowship of the Ring board game to have the rules revised, components updated/upgraded and reprinted
I wonder if you could pull a matrix version of BSG where instead of two ships you had one board within the matrix fighting agents and one ship in the real world fighting the sentinels. Each round would pick one of these world and have strategy checks based on a unique mission (take neo to the oracle, defend zion, fight agent smith, etc)

Star Trek The Adventure Game from the 80’s
Westworld would fit for a BSG. Have you played Warehouse 13? It's a pretty solid hidden traitor game that is similar to BSG in many ways.
Automania by Aporta Games. Although I love my copy and it’s visual design, it’s getting really outdated and requires an expansion.
Dark Moon is supposed to be similar to Battlestar Galactica although shorter play time which should be a good thing otherwise you will manage to get it to the table a lot less... With the racing games I would say that ThunderRoad Vendetta could be a suitable (and fun) alternative. Would Ready, Set, Bet be an alternative to the cycling game? And The Rich and The Good could be an alternative for Panic on Wall Street? I've heard some people say Shadows Over Camelot isn't as good as people rate it although I've never played it and gave up on trying to find it for a reasonable price.
I have been waiting for Shadows over Camelot. I guess they are eventually going to release Shadows over Brooklyn which is a retheming of the game but it has been years since I heard anything about that.
I want "The Dark Tower" to be reprinted. Not the "Return to Dark Tower" reimagining where they changed the game. I want a new printing of the original, or at least it to be available again in some way.

I think Renegade studios did reprint axis and allies anniversary edition. For myself, I would say Gears of War from Fantasy Flight. It is still one of my favorite co op games and captures the theme of the video game perfectly.

FFG official no, but the designer put the planned expansions into the public domain and etsy did the rest.
The first expansion is Galaxy in Flames which adds Tyranids, Imperial Guard, Necrons and Tau.
The second is Darkest Dawn, I Believe which adds 4 chaos Marine factions.
The quality of the etsy stuff blends perfectly with the original game too. Bloody expensive though. That said, its been worth every penny so far
Oh yeah. And Star Trek Fleet Captains by Wizkids! Another classic!

Axis and allies has been reprinted by renegade and is on sale soon. There is also a new north Africa version.

So I found Shadows over Camelot for 60 pounds on eBay and being a cheapo I gave him 50, which the guy took. Then when it arrived near mint in the box it had the Merlin expansion in the box. Worth buying the occasional old game used. Now if I could find Battlestar Galactica with all expansions in the box...
